this show is irredeemable. The last 5+ years were wasted with plotlines that had NOTHING to do with CIA aliens politics and whatnot, every episode could be adapted almost 1:1 to be a the simpsons or family guy episode, plus they were complete and utter shit

they really should have tried to distinguish the show from family guy as much as possible, american dad is much, much better than family guy
the humor, the characters, the plots, it's just superior in every way
unfortunately it seems like just another family guy sequel at first (i mean the creator is the same and the animation is very similar), so i'm not surprised many people will just reject it because they dislike family guy

this show is any good, i watched the first seasons when started to be aired back in the 2000's but i lost the interest to soon

It evolves to be more and more absurd as the season progess but what show doesn’t. Early seasons are kind of a republican perspective family guy. They’re comfy

First two seasons aren’t great. Anything between season 3-11 is kino of the highest order. After that it moves to tbs but I still enjoy the later seasons

Family guy makes edgier jokes than that every week
