Scots epitomise the worst of the memes that are so often directed at the English, being as they are (statistically) fatter, dumber, poorer, drunker and more drugged-up on average, and yet because a few people saw some catalogue photos of a man in a kilt stood beside a big hill on an island where nobody lives, they wax lyrical about this semi-mythological race of apparently-noble Celts. Much like American negroes who cannot live up to the Hebraic propaganda about their purported virility, the Scots know deep down that they are an inferior people to the English and so whine about them endlessly in an effort to distract form their own lesser status. I think they also feel a sense of shame about having a history that is barely one-tenth as rich as that of their neighbours to the south, but I guess that's their problem...
