Why the hell do people want the states to open so bad? Is there literally any positive to doing so? Infections would just rapidly again right?

I want them to reopen because the whole thing is pretty much a joke at this point The experts deserve nothing but ridicule after all of this We've spent nearly $2 trillion on this virus, the same as our military interventions in the middle east for the past 20 years We can't do this every other flu season, it's a bad joke
That being said, I also got to relax and I get paid at my new position if corona lockdowns are still in place so I'm okay personally with it continuing, I just think it's silly that rural areas are subject to the same rules as large urban places. Just more reason as to why large cities should be city states

Yea I understand. I kind of want it to end too so I can get paid since I’m not getting free money. But another part of me was worried about a massive surge in cases of it were to happen
