It is now exactly 5 years when the small South-Ostrobothnian municipality of Seinäjoki (Walled in river "exact English meaning of the name) was shocked and appalled when 15-year old Hanna stabbed her best friend Wilma after school.
She had invited the friend over to her house when her parents were still at work. Then she offered a drink she had mixed, to her friend. But it was poison. However the other girl said it tasted funny and took only a small sip which wasn't a lethal dose yet. The whole cup of drink would have been almost certain death.
After realising her poisoning plan did not work, Hanna simply stabbed the girl. In the back. Several times. Her motive was that both had fallen in love with the same local boy, 15.
Hanna has no record of ever being violent or abusive towards males.
Hanna is now 20 years old and a free woman. She spent only 5 years in prison for murder due to her young age and clean record otherwise. Her mental situation was deemed to be "bordering on psychopathy, no insanity, no delusions". For this reason she avoided psychiatric ward except for the month or so during her screening.
Even today many Finns believe Hanna should not be free.
