I don't have much experience with Discord, do you guys use voice or just text?
We use text to play the games there, yes. But we have voice channels as well (which no-one uses lmao) if you want to chat with people or something.

How do you roll this dice? Does discord have a function for that? Or just roll it at home and use the honor system?
Do you make original maps often?
There's currently 4 games going on in there right now, one hosted by me. We try to always keep it active and have at least 1-2 games going on at the same time

-We have a bot for that. If you type "!roll 10000" or whatever number, the bot rolls the number for you. We take that to be like the post numbers on Yas Forums.
-While mapmaking was much more prevelant a few years ago, we still have some people trying to create new maps. We have an archive full of risk maps though, which can be found on the server.
One more thing, have you thought about portal to another earth?
As in, at some point a portal or portals open to another parallel earth in a random place of the map.
As a way to connect two different games into one.
