I had language therapy for a year until I could say it. To be fair I barely ever do the exercises, but you can do it user!

>To be fair I barely ever do the exercises

Tell me about the exercises.

Don't even try to speak spanish if you can't roll the r. You will literally sound retarded and under 4 years old.

Imagine me trying to say the French word "regard".

That'll do Hans
>t. ethhpañol

I tried speaking spanish without being able to roll the r and I ended up literally sounding retarded and under 4 years old

Don't listen to this guy. This only happen to Angl*s. German and French R's sound kino in Spanish.

>I can't really roll the r
Listen to this song

The only /r/ sound I can make is English /r/. Physically cannot pronounce guttural or trilled /r/.

Yeah well I mean, it doesn't mean you shouldn't keep trying. It's all about practice.

But you roll r's in German?

My superior accent has the same r as spanish haha

Only in the south

i don't roll my r's either

Why are the men on this site so emotionally vulnerable

Vocaroo yourself pronouncing 'perro'

nice, now I'm gonna say I'm speaking with an Austrian accent and just gonna do the R's as Spanish when speaking German

>gewman

make sure to not pronounce -ig words as -ich then

You know those exercises people recommend for giving better blowjobs that make you work hard on your lips and tongue? Same thing.

Repetitions of pushing your tongue against your upper teeth and then out, moving your lips in circles, etc. are good for pronouncing rr.

Another exercise that I remember was to, say, ferrocarril but instead you say "ferorocariril", or instead of saying "perro" you say "peroro" but trying to "hit it hard" with your tongue.

Another one that I remember was casually putting the tip of your tongue behind your teeth, pressing hard, and doing the "th" sound.

It was a while ago, but it certainly works if you do them consistently. Again, I barely did them so it took me over a year.

You should always pronounce -ig words as -ich

Don't call me emotionally vulnerable

Does this also apply to saying numbers?

No.

I have to put in an effort myself despite being Slavic and that's cause you ruled us for a millennium, Fritz

please don't confuse me, I just pronounce the -ig termination as "ik", is that wrong? I'm learning bros :(

Is that an Austrian thing? It's how all of my teachers taught me how to speak.

... if you want to sound like a German

Wow. That is indeed superior.

That's perfect!

I unironically love Slovenia and I want to vacation there more often. I also want to try out this restaurant so bad:

Have you heard of putting a pencil on your mouth and practice rolling the "RR" for as long as you can?
Like pic related maybe a little more in the back

I've been fucking obsessed with rolling my R's for like 2 months, I still can't do it. I keep making sounds from my throat.

This is what I sound like right now, god damn it I cannot get the grasp of this and it's pissing me off. Such a beautiful sound too

Is this real tho? I feel like I'm being set up

I can't roll the R in "Israel" unless I make a pause between Is and Rael

I think I just can't when S and R are together.

Yesyes! This one too. I remember doing this exercise as well.
