You can't lie about these stats though. You're gonna have an over burden healthcare system, you're gonna have a shitload of bodies, you're gonna have a bunch of being calling out of work. Even China couldn't hide that. Why Sweden doesn't have this without really locking down idk.

hoonestly I'm looking at their ICU hospitalisation data and they're at 1300~ still increasing. they haven't flatten the curve but it doesn't seem it increases as fast as you would think. For my province Quebec, that's probably a big no since we only have around 1000 ICU bed I think? This wouldn't workout for us. I don't know their max capacity but I hope for them the best despite pessimistic about their situation.
To I've went to sweden once and I don't think the USA could ever do the same. They naturally distance themselves due to autisme culture.

We are much more civilized than other countries. We have been practicing social distancing for centuries before this virus. People aren't so dumb here and they will avoid spreading the virus even if it's not illegal. This would only work in Swedish countries like Sweden, Finland or Norway.

They are doing the right thing, here the quarantine is a joke that's going to crash the economy, last weekend the streets were as packed as they were before because now children are allowed to leave and before that supermarkets were a fucking joke where people did whatever they wanted, a ban on social gatherings like clubs and parties and closing the schools and using masks should have been enough (taking social distancing measures at work obviously)
