Fun fact the name Björn is 14 times more common than Sven is in Sweden and Sven is mostly a boomer name
>>France: Jacques, Pierre
Insanely common, I think Pierre is the most used one? After Mohammed of course.
desu there are a lot of Pierre in France
>>Turkey: Mehmet
Very common
>>Germany: Otto, Karl, Hans, Reinhardt
not common for young people
>Dimitri
It's DMITRY for fuck's sake! Dimitri is more like a balkanoid-tier name, in Russia it's Дмитpий, Dmitriy god damn it
>Giovanni, Giuseppe, Mario, Luigi
These are all common, but I'd unironically say "Mario" is the least common of them among the youths.
Those are pronounced the same, though.
Ian and Nigel are boomer names, but they are common, Ian moreso
no one is called angus or Duncan in Scotland.
the most common are
Jack
1
Olivia
2=
James

Nigel isn't common or uncommon. Ian is a very common name though
even we write it Dimitrij

There was also a period when I met a lot of "Toon"s but haven't seen many now

Unpopular, it was popular in early XXth century >Pierre
Not uncommon, but not common either
What about these?:
>USA: Sam, Cleetus, Tex
Those are rather cliches than stereotypes, but whatever.
I've seen like four sams, but none of the other two. We have a lot of John Pauls and Mary Beths, at least in the south.
>Scotland
I know several people called Angus and Duncan.
>England
I know several people called Nigel and Ian.
Are you happy now?
Nigel is very common for men between the ages of 50 and 70, rare outside that age bracket though. Ian is common amongst all age groups, but more so for boomers
>Jan
It is one if those names that will never die out. I can easily think if at least 10 people named Jan I've met during my life of which at least 3 are family. "Tom", "Willem" and "Peter" are other examples of such names
>Ireland: Seamus, Patrick, Liam, Moira
common to varying degrees, except it's normally Máire rather than Moira
>Nigel, Ian
very rare for anyone under the age of 50
USA: Carlos, Juan, Jim

Aren't Mehmet and Muhammed the same thing?
Mehmet is the Turkified version of Muhammed. But yes, they're the same. Muhammed means "praised, commendable" btw.
>France: Jacques, Pierre
