IT IS NOT A PROBLEM OF TECHNOLOGY BEING BAD, BUT, RATHER, ONE OF WHICH TYPE OF TECHNOLOGY IS BEING APPLIED: GOOD TECHNOLOGY, OR BAD TECHNOLOGY; AUTOMATIZING TECHNOLOGY, OR MECHANIZING TECHNOLOGY; TECHNOLOGY THAT SIMPLIFIES LIFE, OR TECHNOLOGY THAT COMPLEXIFIES LIFE; TECHNOLOGY THAT IS CONDUCIVE TOWARD WELLNESS, OR TECHNOLOGY THAT IS CONDUCIVE TOWARD ILLNESS.
Just answer the question schizo.
France
Technology good
Saw like 3 episodes of the Netflix docuseries.
Don't know why have any positive opinions of him.
It's just a more clever Elliot Rodgers.
*Don't know why people have any positive opinions of him
THERE IS GOOD TECHNOLOGY, AND BAD TECHNOLOGY.
bad cause homo sapiens dumb and easily persuaded
hungary
good
fuck n*ture
Straya
Technology good, cunt
>I'm just going to make a bunch of claims with out backing it up.
He was just frustrated because he couldn't get pussy and rationalized his desire to lash out against someone.
Suddenly the word is nice when some girl at her job kissed him and is shit again after she turned him down.
Does priori not exist?
US
Tech good, industrialism bad.
USA
I for one welcome my new AI overlords.
Also you do understand the show about him has been hollywoodified?
America
Can be either good or bad
I used to agree with much of his manifesto but then I realized that technology actually does provide a more meaningful and empowering society for us even if more complex and potentially alienating, plus Ted's alternative is much worse
The only good creations of technology (in terms of electric technology) is medical equipment. Everything else has hindered humanity
how so? Surely it is also good and bad
You need to properly make your point..I'm not doing it for you.
If there's any factual errors point them out.
IIRC He was happy and positive about life when a girl at work kissed him and went on dates with him, then after she told him she wasn't interested, he threw a fit putting nasty post-it notes about her all over the work place, his brother had to fire him because he wouldn't stop. He then consider waiting outside her car to kill her.
His desire to kill came first, the anti-technology justification came later.
How exactly can I make a manifesto up to 60 pages into less than 200 character?
I haven't watched the show but a girl did reject him and he did get angry and fired i think he wrote rude poems or something. That has little to do with his later activity.
>His desire to kill came first, the anti-technology justification came later
Why do you come to this conclusion?
More than 20% of people (~2,000,000,000) likely dying in the process, stillborns, disease, lack of access to medicine, increased frequencies of rape, murder, PTSD, starvation; humans being forced to live within a limited set of means for the rest of their existence despite being intelligent beings, not to mention the fact that the agricultural and industrial revolution would likely happen again anyway because of human nature
>That has little to do with his later activity.
The specifics of the event have no relation, with later activity.
But it shows that he was petty, entitled and immature, willing to carry a disproportionate response.
He wrote to himself he wanted to kill her, same thing for a psychologist from uni, for completely personal petty reason. The anti technology crusade started years later.
UK
Both. I think it can ultimately be for good, but will likely be bad. AI, VR, robots all sound amazing, but you just know that google and the state are going to use it all against you.
That doesn't equate to him conceiving of his anti-technology stance merely as an excuse to kill
Technology good
People bad
Flag
Only TECHNOLOGY is good. The rest is BAD
>O
What the fuck do you mean?
Technology is the cure for the disease that is uncontrolled nature.
Far more people die due to rampant nature every day than due to aspects related to technology,
Not conciously.
Would you treat his thoughts about doing it to really doing it years later as a coincidence?
