The coof express

Having functional roads isn't exactly an accomplishment, you'll notice that every capitalistic Western country also has them

What it could have been...

USA doesn't have much railway transits yet it's a superpower

those are high speed rails

Those are high speed railways, not roads, and their system definitely is an accomplishment.
Europe doesn't lag much behind but we have mountains and shit

Americans are fat and completely devoid of talent. They were blessed with one of the most fertile, largest lands on Earth, and all they managed was become the world's foremost superpower for like thirty years after defeating the Soviet Union, until China began its rise. No wonder, their politics are a shitshow.

I wouldn't risk my life travelling in a chink high speed train t.bh. Who knows when it will break down.

lol, I wish. It takes literal years for even a few kilometers of adding an extra lane on each side of a highway in this shithole. Massive high speed rail lines? Maybe by 2120.

We can't even pass a trans-Californian high speed railway here

They're more reliable than cityrail shit. Our old, never on time trains derail every other year and they're slow as molasses.

>What it could have been...

Why was it cancelled?

holy westoid cope

Would YOU want the Chinese to have underground high speed railroad access to your population centers?

wtf i love the ccp now

Japan and Korea never really started the project because muh politics.
The one to Shandong looks like just a distant hypothesis

China didn't rise by itself. If it wasn't for American and Western companies investing in China after the Sino-Soviet split, they would still be nothing today.

Power of socialism with 1,5 bil workers.

because we are rich enough to fly

Don't forget rampant IP theft (which the West is partially to blame for being the absolute cucks that they are).

Wonder if China would ever consider just to Korea. 2 of the biggest economies with a direct link.

Plane tickets are cheaper than HSR here in Europe you dumbo

They could probably force North Korea to let the railway pass without the need to build the tunnel lel.

This is the power of totalitarianism, socialism or not

the real coof express is shutting down their domestic travel while allowing international flights during the chinese new year to promote global harmony

>Japan and Korea never really started the project because muh politics.
Japan-Korea rail tunnel is not economically viable unless the trains can continue onto China or Russia then Europe through North Korea. This is the reason why S. Korea keeps trying to engage the Norks on rail cooperation.

w-wow.
railroads!
state of the art technology so that people can starve further away from home now!

Socialism for the rich, capitalism for the poor.

> but we have mountains and shit
China isn't exactly flat either.

The old models are ICE trains.
They used a lot of European tech to make their newer ones, and they are comfy and spacious. I can stretch my legs in them, which I can't do in our local trains.

Not a huge fan of mainland politics, but Chinese high speed rails are super convenient and comfy.

Yes. I've love to be able to jump on a train to travel overseas.

That is actually pretty impressive, but compared to say japan, I wonder how efficient they are or the building material is not Styrofoam.

Enough with this fucking cope. China is the powerhouse it is today because of what the Chinese people achieved in spite of westerners trying to take advantage of them. You racist fuckers make all sorts of excuses for when European or North American countries exploit the world but when China is able to achieve even greater feats without resource colonies or hundreds of years of global empire connections, all of a sudden every foul imperial measure of success the west has used gets projected onto the Chinese.
Just fucking stop.
