Do you have any pets?
I have a puppy.
My parents have two cats, both adopted. One spastic short hair and one long hair who is genuinely the nicest, most pleasant cat in the universe.
I can't even take care of myself properly, I don't want to subject a pet to my care.
Not anymore, but I have some wild animals that make regular visits to my yard, including a family of rabbits (we put a fence up to protect our vegetables). Sometimes we leave vegetable scraps out for them.
cute
Do plants considered as pets?

I had a dog from the time I was 4 to 18. It's been 15 years and I still miss him, he was my friend. I'd like to get another dog someday but now I live in an apartment and it doesn't seem practical.
Two dogs and 50 fishes (i have a pond)

fuck you I'd kill to get out of the city
You could say so kek. These are just a few of them plus some tanks.
that's actually pretty cool
It's a lot of fun to. I work at a zoo (in the reptile/aquatic area) so I'm completely surrounded by awesome animals not only at home but also at work.
i love your cats
might be a dumb question, but do reptiles show affection like other types of pets do?
Rarely. Some species can develop such emotions like green iguanas but it's not a cat or a dog. Most reptiles simply learn to accept you.
Which is why a lot of beginner reptile owners become very, very surprised when their beloved snake/lizard/turtle etc bites them eventually.
I have my python (in pic), she's one of my favorite pets no doubt.
She accepts me and I can carry her around on my shoulders outside, in shops etc. She doesn't care. And she will let strangers pet her if they don't stress her out too much.
But only I can remove her from her terrarium. Only me. If anyone else puts their hands in her home, their hand/arm turns into minced meat.
very interesting
I assume there was a period in which she did not accept you, and would try to bite you?
This is Snati, he's been my buddy since 1998.
as old as I am
That's an old cat.
Yup, she was a feisty one when I got her. Pretty much a shoelace with needle teeth. I took more than a few bites from her back then.
But she got used to me pretty quickly.
Some snakes accept people right away, others never do. Some are like mine and needs a bit of time.
A little fun thing though from work, I often get into the shark tanks with our sand tiger sharks at work and they seek out human contact, at least one of them (pic). They will rub them self against any diver that enters and stay near all the time. They have also been around humans since they were born.
I had a cat until a month ago.
I had a pair of female rats. Loved them very much. Unfortunately rats have very short lifespans :(
