There were studies in both China and another country, I think France. Smokers were underrepresented among severe cases in both.

I think EE is mostly doing good because they reacted super fast. I was in Slovakia when it hit and there was maybe a week between the first confirmed case and the whole city shutting down

It affects foreigners because they refuse to practice social distancing. Somalis live 15 people under the same room in one bedroom flats, the oldest kid is never home because baba will beat him so he hangs out with his 20 friends down town who live in similar conditions.
