No,he was a rapper.

Frank

He was Frankish. Kind of Lower Rhine people. Borderlands between the political nations of Germany and France.

>multiple illegitimate children with concubines
yes

He's dead

No, he was Dutch. Every """""Fr*nchman""""" of note throughout history, was actually a foreigner. Charlemagne, William I, Napoleon. The list goes on. The Fr*ench are a pathetic nation of homosexuals, that have to LARP as their genetic superiors in order to feel any sense of pride. Sad!

Why, of course

Karlmann was German

He was actually: Rheinniederfranke
To be exact. Don't mix it since there are other franks too.

ironically enough, most of this can be applied on the UK as well

Did you just explain the UK?

Germany too

That's Charlie MacAngus famous canadian inventor of the Harvey's angus burger

Karel de Grote was Dutch.

He was Byzantine iirc.

Sorry but Mano Charles was brazilian

Considering Dutch is the direct descendant of the Frankish language, how come they never claim to be frank and it's always french and germans fighting over the title?

Can't seem to find any definitive consensus, but the most likely language so far is old dutch/old low-franconian

Somewhat related but I've wondered about Hungarians and their obsession with Huns. They have more claim to be Avar descendents.

Charlemagne was, if you have to assign any modern equivalent, Dutch(/Flemish) and linguistically speaking Dutch is Frankish. Politically however, the country of the Netherlands has no more claim to be the descendant of the Frankish empire than France or Germany has (especially France has the greatest continuity despite the linguistic discrepancy) and that's what people tend to know/care about. If they care about stuff like that at all and they generally don't.

The fact that you're referring to Carolus Magnus by his French named Charlemagne implies that yes. Yes he was French.

Charlemange was Illyrian.

Why don't you ask him
