My community college is $10k a year. And you can't get a job with just an associates, employers see that basically as an extension of high school. You need at least a bachelors degree which requires going to a real university. My local public university is $30k a year.

Yeah and federal loans are so terrible almost all of what I pay goes to my principle. It's not the same thing and you know it. They also shouldn't borrow money they have no logical way to easily pay off. If you belong at a college they'll make sure you can afford it. People need to learn their place when it comes to education. The only money I borrowed was for room and board or lab fees and those were already partially paid for with scholarships.

Trade school is still expensive as fuck. And no one gives scholarships for good grades anymore. I got a $2000 scholarship for a near perfect SAT score and 3.9 unweighted GPA. Which is literally nothing when tuition is $50k a year. Most scholarships and aid is need based, so if your mom is a black crack head single mom with no job you get to to for free. But if you are middle class and actually studied in high school, pay up goy.
