Venezuela is less mixed in that regard but both countries converge to around 63% euro on average. The colonial population of venezuela was much more african and less european than the colombian one for 2 reasons: Venezuela has harsher climate on average for european settlers, and colombia was the capital of the viceroyalty. Venezuela caught up to Colombia just in the XX century when they received larger waves of eurpean immigration compared to colombia. This divide, was one of the reasons of social revolts in venezuela, if you hear Maduro speeches, he sometimes use race related jargon when talking to the masses, he refer to the oligarchy as "blanquitos" and terms of the sort, and he calls out racism as the cause of sanctions and things like that. A cuban quadroon or a trirracial from brazil, cuba, puerto rico, venezuela or Colombia, all of them >60% euro will think twice before calling themselves white since they probably look like berbers at best. While some balanced mestizos will sometimes end up looking light enough to self-identify as white. Pic related has obvious non european traits but light skin, tons of people with her characteristics would self identify as white in Latin America easily
