Simplified Chinese is pure autism.
Prove me wrong
Simplified Chinese is pure autism
1-traditional characters are themselves a simplification and a standardisation
2-simplified characters are considerably more readable with smaller fonts
If you want your Chinese writing to be in form of art, why not just take calligraphy?
NOOOOO YOU CANT HAVE BETTER MORE EFFICIENT MUH INCEL AESTHETICS
>"wait, he needs THAT many strokes to write the same character?!"
Autism is not allowing changes even if they may be benefitial just because "I like it this way"
听 is really bad btw. Why the fuck doesn't it have the ear.
who made/pushed that oversimplified ugly version?
Ten points if you can memorise these Kanjis
面 is worse. 面 by itself means face. When you add 麦wheat together its the same pronunciation but meaning of noodles.
>mfw I can recognize most radicals
Asian writing systems in general are shit.
>tfw Chinese and can't read any of this
Growing up in the states has made me a culture-less drone
>rose
nobody uses that outside tryhard florists, every uses 玫瑰
>lemon
pretty easy to remember, you have the 木 radical paired with the common 寧 and 蒙
>squirrel
is that even chinese? literally never seen anyone refer to them as that, we use 松鼠
And some words share characters.
For example, 的.

I really like how traditional chinese looks like
I wish I had time to learn it.
It is a shame that the language itself doesn't sound appealing.
Sorry mistake
tradition is fine, only retards have problem learning them
>born in USA
>as a Chinese American
>went to Okinawa or Yokosuga as soldier
>when shit goes wrong you'll fight chinks while your entire team will bully you for being chink
No offense, but that's some real shit life choices you got there
I've talked with several taiwanese who live in the US now and they say they hate the language and learning it was the torture for them when they were still living in Taiwan. They say they don't hate on their natonality but just think that the language itself is extremely tedious to learn and takes too much time.
I mean, that's quite a biased pool of opinion if you ask me considering they're in the states
麵 is originally 麪 though
Also, 听 always existed. It originally meant a laughing face before being merged with 聽 during simplification.
What does a laughing Dave have to do with listening?
I'm not military
I'm a neet and my upper middle class parents baby me and let me do whatever I want
are you an actual taiwanese or a dirty davido?
How can people write those shitty over complicated symbols every fucking day is beyond me
Where is the elegance in making writing full of redundancies?
It's pretty different with computers nowadays.
Yup. I recall a vid showing how the random Japanese in the street could not write down kanji by memory easily.
On the other hand I don't see how efficient can it be to take notes using this script
Truth is when handwriting it's common even for the Taiwanese to use some simplified characters. They just made sense back then.
I don't see how it's autistic to want less strokes per character. You know what's autistic? Thinking that a number is lucky because it sounds like another word. Maybe thinking that a house should be knocked over and rebuilt because someone died in it. Maybe having a festival about cocks?
