What went so horribly wrong?
Canadian Music
Drake is unironically better than N*ckleback, there are so many better canuck bands.
They're just popular derivatives of American music.
zoomer detected.
canadians are so boring and have nothing to talk about in their music but they still get popular somehow
For me, it's Abel Tesfaye.
I would say Canada is more relevant than us when it comes to media.
Name ten canadian rock bands from the 2000's
>used nickleback as a reference point instead of the tragically hip
gtfo fat
made the same album 8 times
Nickleback, Three Days Grace, Sum 41, Finger Eleven, Our Lady Peace, I can name more, but these are the ones I listened to.
>why yes it's nelly furtado for me how did you know
90's Canadian music was the best. Our Lady Peace, I Mother Earth, Sloan, Moist, Headstones, Tea Party, etc etc. And of course the kings, the Tragically Hip.
meant to tag
tea party's still around, no? Although I don't like their sound as much after the 2nd album, Splendor Solis and Edges of Twilight have a beautiful sound
I think all of those bands are still around, with the obvious exception of the Hip. But their heyday was the 90's. Summersault 98 was my first real concert and a lot of those bands played that. Honestly I don't pay that much attention to music anymore but I might check in to see what these bands are up to these days, I know I've been hearing some pretty good new stuff from the Headstones on my local rock radio station.
cool
bruh what are you smoking
Canadian black metal is pretty good
Not a Drake fan but that biracial dwarf is still better than Nickelback .
there's laws in canada that mean 30% of radio music must be 'canadian', by meeting 3/4 requirements
it's just easier to get discovered and move up in canada
oddly enough the one guy who didn't do that was bieber
