I live in an American suburb and it's hell on Earth

I would rather live in central Krakow or something. Hell I might even accept Bucharesti at this point.

In fact, any tier 2 European city is better than Am*rican suburb.

I bet poors aren't allowed within 20 miles of that place

Those houses are so outsize for the plots of land they sit on

All of Europe has maybe 4 neighborhoods with houses that big.

That looks better than 99% of American suburbs.

Sugar Land has the highest concentration of Asians in Texas. Altogether, 35.3% of the city's population is Asian; 10.7% is Asian Indian, 11.5% is Chinese, 4.5% is Vietnamese and 2% is Filipino.[17]

The Sugar Land area has Indian grocery stores, temples, several mosques and many Ismaili Jamatkhanas. Sugar Land is the national headquarters for the United States Ismaili Community. Jajoo stated that the quality of the jobs, schools, and parks attracts people of Indian origin to Sugar Land.[18]

Thank you Fritz. Imagine living in the shitty part that doesn't even look out onto the pond.

I don't even think it's bad tbqh.
Ideally I'd want more space and privacy tho, but having a fishing spot right behind your house seems comfy.

I doubt you can fish too much that's edible out of that water..

i live in a little town in plentzia basque country and wouldnt change it even for the biggest house in that urbanization

Apparently it's super asian, like OP said

My hometown had a neighborhood build inside a lake and all the rich kids would live there having wonderful lives. I was always envious as fuck of them. The girls were all 10/10s and the boys would go on holiday 4 times a year and drive around on boats in summer.

Can you explain the housing estates with bright blue ponds? Are they treated for swimming in? Pic related is plonked randomly in Las Vegas

Some industrially used lakes here, have similar colors.

Where you poor?

That's just because there's nothing but sand (the yellow kind) underneath

Looks like where all the rich white on the verge of divorce but too afraid families live
Absolutely based

No, not at all. But they were just on another level. And it's the fact that they would be surrounded by other rich kids that fascinated me. My family was also very well-off but we lived on a normal street with behind us a lot of Dutch rowhouses etc so my friends were from normal or poor backgrounds.

Better for your personality development, worse for your career prospects. I think you didn't lose much. Euro rich-kid culture was quite cringey and Americanised to an extent, when I was growing up.

Obviously I learned a lot more people skills, and all of the kids from the rich area are now sheltered student corps losers, but I just found it really weird to think they lived in such a beautiful little bubble physically seperated from us by water

On the topic of the thread, I reckon that out of the entire world NL is one of a handful of places where it *wouldn't* be cringey to build neighbourhoods like that. Yet in your photo, they had managed to make it look American and dreadful. Strange!

good stay there

It would make sense but I can guarantee you it's copied from the USA.
