bhuel

Saw a cat lazing about in the sun out the back. I wish I could be as comfy as that cat.

Is there any point to buying a newspaper?
Wouldn't mind buying one, but am fairly sure it be 40 pages of covid related news.

Based paddy, saab is the g.o.a.t

The only newspaper you need

Didn't know there were still people under 70 who buy newspapers

Anyone heard of the popular Irish television show Londonderry Girls? Watched it on Channel 4 and thought it was pretty funny

drinking finches red lemonade
found it down the village shop but cant find finches, or cidona, anywhere anymore

>"Euro-Pigs gobble your taxes!"
Definitely the sort of headline one would expect from a reputable outlet.

And why is that the only edition I ever see posted? Did the paper collapse after one issue?

There's something very aesthetic about the Draken. It has that right blend of Cold War and Space Age; at home flying in the sky as it would be dogfighting in space.

Sell Gripen pls.

>Finches
They still make that stuff? I honestly haven't seen a bottle of it in over a decade.

>Derry Girls
>funny
Imagine actually thinking this.

banned from /vg/ again lads

I wonder if we'll make Division A this year?

If you click the link it shows there's 2 issues with one coming up spastic

Not as funny as Mrs Brown's boys anyway

>implying I'd click that link
The low frequency of release certainly explains why NPuppers are never quite up to speed on current events.

>NPuppers
i hate NP schizos but this is painfully unfunny

Sorry. But here's no good name for their supporters like Shinners for SF and Blueshirts for FG. N and P ate two letters that don't go well together.

It has nothing to do with the NP, you're the one not up to speed

Oh come on, it has all the usual talking heads that are popular with NP supporters.

Again if you look at the pic, it says síol na hÉireann, completely different movement

looks a bit like che guevara

They're targeting the exact same demographic.

Yeah, the Irish people

No, LARPers.

Were the men of 1916 LARPers?

No, because they actually did something of merit. Your lot do nothing more than LARP and run failed election campaigns.

1916 was a failed endeavour too you moron

Something being "of merit" doesn't mean it has to be a success. Regardless it was a success in the sense of the series of events it set in motion. What meritorious endeavours has your lot undertaken? What series of events have been set in motion by your actions that have bettered Ireland as a country?

"Real" newspapers are typically able to be so dense and consistent because they don't really rely on their writers having opinions let alone being smart, they rely more on networked infrastructure, most of which isn't even within the formal organisation known as a newspaper.
Most "news" is typically a repackaging of press releases, whether you have to go far or not. Often from government organisations like the police or financial regulatory agencies.
And most "scoops" which aren't given out as formal press releases, are given out by interested parties intending that the information is "leaked". That word being played up to create the mental image of courageous whistleblowers every time the usually seedy and self-interested process of leaking takes place. A process which naturally favours big, established newspapers, both because they have the established audience and someone wanting maximum exposure would try to get it in there (pre-internet at least), and also because the big papers are also likely to be owned by oligarchs with their fingers in several pies, which would benefit from getting hit up for "leaked" information and making adjustments before it becomes truly public knowledge.
"International news" is also typically filtered through similarly big outlets.

Trying to be a nationalist alternative to the status quo ie; 800 years of Irish history

Doesn't seem like you're trying very hard. What is it now? 2 issues of a newspaper and a failed election campaign?
