Can they understand each other?

yes except Finland
if I recall correctly everyone understands each other except denmark (finns learn swedish)
I can understand Norwegians and danes
I can only understand Norwegians, but I can read Danish.
Finland is not Scandinavian
False. 90% would rather speak english with swedes rather than trying to remember already forgotten phrases they've not practiced in years.
Finland is Nordic and not Indo-Gayropean
Swedes can understand Norwegians
Danes can understand Swedes, but Swedes can't understand Danes
What are you?
swedish: no problem, can usually understand 100%
danish: i personally find it difficult to understand, but with enough exposure it becomes easier
faroese and icelandic:these people still talk in runes
finnish: unintelligible gibberish
i can understand swedish and to a far lesser degree danish (its really hard to keep up with them when they speak tho reading it is easy enough). finnish isnt related to our languages at all, icelandic and to a lesser degree faroese are practically norse
Only Finnish is intelligible. The rest is gibberish, a bit like German.
scandis are cucks and finns are hikkys
Why Finland is not part of Scandinavia?
yes
by speaking english
imo they are
Only redditors say they arent
Finnish is very different, an entirely different language. Iceland is a bit obscure, but Danish, Swedish and Norwegian are similar and can be somewhat understood depending on how used you are to it. It also works with German to a certain extent.

They all produce gag sounds and sound ugly so yes they can understand eachother
not an argument, my opinionated dude.
We lost Finland to Russia and the fennoswedes did a shit job keeping it Swedish and letting mongols take over.
>Finns are not Scandis, Finns are Mongols
Like that huh?
Fennoswedes are mongols
finns are scandinavian change my mind mr reddit
better than fennomongols which is the most important quality
No finns are our brothers :) they wuz uz and we wuz themz
Why Finns don't LARP as their ancestors by riding horses, archery, throat singing and all that stuff?
despite this gay flag, i am swedish
i can understand some norweigan accents, some not (same is true in my own country, but to a lesser extent)
cant understand a word of danish unless they speak very slowly and clearly.
For me it's something like this
Written Danish: 98%
Written Swedish: 90%
Written Faroese: 30%
Written Icelandic: 20%
Written Finnish: 1%
Spoken standard Swedish: 90%
Spoken standard Danish: 70%
Spoken standard Faroese: 10%
Spoken standard Icelandic: 5%
Spoken standard Finnish: 0%
This is why opinion is a valid argument mr reddit
STFU you >muh heritage coper immigrant mutt
You're in Sweden stop obsessing over your pathetic cousins you know nothing about
>I omvärden begrips ibland hela "NORDEN"
You're literally trying to legitimize your opinion with the ignorance americans have when it comes to geography.
Yep, and if you dont like it you can go back to a certain website
yet again, finns bring their autism to a thread that doesent even involve them
You're the one who seem to seethe over facts. Maybe you should make an account over there.
Delusional retard
this fag started it
So Norwegian, Swedish and Danish are dialects, not languages...
t. urho kakko pikko paskalainen
You are angry
wow, thx!
I did not think that the Faroese and Icelandic are so different from the Norwegian language.
Slavic languages differ from each other rather weakly.
I can make a similar comparison between Russian and other Slavic languages but i think no one will be interested in this here...
It is comparable to arabic dialects
>m u h h e r i t a g e
>some shitty village in ö s t e r b o t t en? EPIC!!!
if we are being textbook literal, scandinavian refers to people traditionally inhabiting the scandinavian peninsula
finland is not on the scandinavian peninsula
commonly though it refers more to culture, finland is finno-ugric (sub-branch of uralic) and the scandinavian countries are germanic (indo-european)
different languages, cultures and ethnicities
No need in projecting your feelings on me
Here's a handy explanation, from Stand Still Stay Silent by Minna Sundberg (go read it now).
why are you seething this hard?
I understand written danish and spoken swedish, but not vice versa.
>weak
Svag/Vek
a synonym for "svag" is "vek" which is similar to "veikur"
I see you in EVERY thread
you are obsessed with Finns and your inbred cousins even more than they are
I dont have feelings, those are for your kinsmen aka redditors.
Yes you do have feelings. You just don't understand them since you have autism.
