I’m more convinced that we should be on a strict silver standard. Reminder that the gold standard was shit because it ended up just like how modern fiat economies ended up, the 1% ruled everything. The US election of 1896 was between whether the US should drop gold and go for a pure silver standard, or stick with the gold standard. The robber barons wanted a gold standard and the gold standard won until they decided that fiat was more easier to hoard.
