it looks pretty nice desu, but I still feel the need to make fun of it

IT DOESNT EVEN HAVE A MEANING. THERE IS NO FUCKING MEANING. THE FLAG JUST EXISTS

what do the poop and period blood stains on your flag actually represent, Gunther? I bet you can't tell me

>le crosses
grow up. nobody cares about christianity anymore.

why is your poop black?

at least the funny crosses have a meaning

Is Peruvian flag older than this?

You mean this flag (oh no I summoned him)

What were they thinking sticking a leaf to a peruvian flag?

the bright shade of red is noxious. it would be a much more regal flag with a darker red.

We've been using the leaf as a symbol for longer than Canada was a country. Even the old flag had leaves on it, it represents our vast untouched natural land. So there you go, Nigel.

that nobody would notice, and nobody did until now

They took our fucking flag and pasted a fucking leaf in the middle

I'd be a good flag for a state, it's not imposing like it should be.

>Why does Yas Forums make fun of this flag?

BECAUSE IT IS MEANINGLESS & ABSURD —IT IS THE SILHOUETTE OF A MAPLE LEAF, AND IT IS A MERE SIGN; IT IS NOT A SYMBOL, BECAUSE THERE IS NO SEMANTIC SUBSTANCE TO IT.

what does you flag mean? so that we can get to the bottom of this very interesting topic

I think that was the conscious idea behind it. they wanted to create a flag for a new age, without semantic baggage being carried on through it

IF SO, WHY CREATE A FLAG AT ALL, OR, FOLLOWING THE SAME LOGIC, WHY BE CONSTITUTED INTO A NATIONSTATE IN THE FIRST PLACE?

I think it's cute desu

A nationstate is a useful.. one may even say necessary... form of organization for capital growth. It just makes economic sense to have a tax base, with certain organizations for the public benefit. Canada has always been an agreement between wealthy business interests from the very beginning in 1867

This one was our first flag. It was supposed to represent the red colour of the maskaypacha (Incan crown) the design was inspired on the colour of the flamingos.
It changed to the current form in 1825
