Mars is gay
Not even in a thousand years will that be possible.
no, we won't
Sadly, no
musk is an actual retard
You do know that terraforming takes centuries and we don't even have money for such things? I mean we might have the money but the americans and russians are spending every dollar they have on the military...
it's impossible
Why do I get the feeling that it will be disaster, like the Aral Sea but on a planetary scale? I definitely see humans fucking it up somehow.
it's not impossible but we won't see it in our lifetime
it's easier than you think once you start a repeating chain reaction in nature. Atmosphere is the easy part tho
Theres plenty of money, its just allocated based on short election cycles.
The world needs a visionary to guide it for a century at a time. They need Xi
I'll be living in Alderbaran by then.
Yeah but we also need a working magnetosphere.
We need the monarchies back but for real this time
No wh*toids in the new colony
>1000+ years to build
>Requires a ridiculous amount of resources >£100 Quadrillion
Not gonna happen
Future humans aren't gonna terraform Mars and Venus. Why waste precious resources on shit that you can build in matrix style VR?
We can maybe enslave the female population and force them to work on the hardwar like we did with the pow's back then
Shure, just after Mars 2020.
No

Obligatory
Nah, we will all get the capability to be uploaded to some sort of virtual reality before any of that, and we will able to live our lives exactly as we want. Humanity will lose all interest in the real world and we will stop sending space missions.
Honestly this is the only thing that could save us. All our efforts should go to this. Sending a man to Mars is the only thing that could unite the world in new found optimism. Without it history stops, we will go in cycles. Yes the US will lose power and china will rise. But that doesn't matter. We should go to the next frontier now.
If you're very lucky you will see somebody land on the Mars in your lifetime. Terraforming like in your picture is science fiction and even if it was possible it would take many, many thousands of years, possibly millions.
im going to ask this on reddit and get a proper awnser
:D
I wish, but no. Even if you melted all of the frozen CO2 in the poles of mars you'll still only be at 12% of the thickness of Earth's atmosphere. You'd need to somehow produce a quadrillion tons of gas to reach a similar pressure to earth. Artificially doing so would be impossible with current technology. Comet bombing is also impossible and would take centuries. The only way I can think to achieve this in our lifetime would be if somehow you could reactivate mars volcanoes. But that is also science fiction.
singularity will come and we probably won't care much about space anymore. Coronas just the first step
Don't be absurd. People can't even properly terraform biomes here on Earth
No, no we won't. Terraforming Mars would take thousands of years.
how could you destroy something that never was
Terraforming of mars is a meme, it will never be done because mars doesn't have magnetic field and any puny atmosphere we will try to create will be blown away by solar wind
what about creating a magnetic field
