Aren't they both orthodox?

One Russian girl once told me Orthodoxy doesn't have a common spiritual guide like the Pope. Like every state has its Patriarch. That said they still share a common religion so I think they might be related.

RUSKA!

Very well. Greeks are absolutely bro-tier
t. been many times in Greece

>common spiritual guide like the Pope.
Your Pope is just a figurehead he doesnt determine religioun and is unnecessary.

Greeks are kind, sincere, beautiful people

yeah but they had a big schism recently due to Ukraine.

>Ukraine
Why are they always the center of every problem?

It’s weird that Greece and Cyprus wasn’t included in the East Bloc, tbqh.

>Greece and Cyprus
You mean just Greece?

Seething muslim sehit skin

Culturally and historically we have gotten along pretty well yes. But recently on a political and diplomatic level there has been many disputes, I would say our countries are no longer kind of allies like they used to be but still try to keep better relations than the rest of the EU. Russia collaborating and forming a common front with the turks has hurt our relations a lot, plus attempting to interfere with the north macedonia resolution.

>when you still don't have enough russian women in your country

About Greece, you can blame Churchill.
Greece was heading towards the eastern bloc out of conviction: the biggest resistance organisation, that help most power and popularity among the people (it helped in the liberation of many cities), was communist.

But Churchill was obsessed with Greece staying in the western bloc, and pressured Stalin in the Yalta conference. Stalin agreed, and the brits armed and commanded the opposition to the communists, dragging Greece into a civil war to be able to keep it in the western bloc.

It might be the only country that actually wanted in and got rejected, vs not wanting in and being forced. Greek communists still hold a grudge to Stalin for selling them out, and hold Tito in higher esteem for helping them.

Nope. Not a schism. And administrative church shit doesnt affect the people at all lol. The Orthodox church isnt an improvised political larp like the Catholic church. No one man can change the way people observe the original Christianity and its tradidion and the way people relate to one another. Patriarchs, popes, etc etc are all irelevant in faith.

Is that a Russian in the background? Or Serbian?

both greek

>The Orthodox church isnt an improvised political larp like the Catholic church
Don't you have a TV channel founded by the Kremlin that exclusively promotes orthodox values?

He's gotta be at least half Slavic

well, technically the Patriarch of Constantinople is the highest in the hierarchy, but yea

>"His Most Divine All-Holiness the Archbishop of Constantinople, New Rome, and Ecumenical Patriarch is the Archbishop of Constantinople–New Rome" is the Archbishop of Constantinople–New Rome and ranks as primus inter pares (first among equals) among the heads of the several autocephalous churches that make up the Eastern Orthodox Church. He is regarded as the representative and spiritual leader of Orthodox Christians worldwide.

So what if we did? How does the state promoting religion change religion?

How is it weird? The State of Greece has been allied with the West since its creation in the early 1800s.

>this is the last thing millions of Persians saw

take a look a this EAM-o-bulgarian

Greece is 90% Orthodox, Russia only 40%

he wears shirt in Cyrillic and shit
he's probably a russobyat from the black sea

Don't take it wrong. I mean, as a morally conservative person I do agree with a lot of your state propaganda
But you have to agree to the fact that your church has hands mingled in your State and its policies. No State promotes religious values for free.

Irrelevant. Russia isnt only made up of Russians

Friendly reminder that Kyriakos is from Kavala and has a Turkish last name. He's a TVRKBVLL

Accorsing to Wikipedia only 43% of Russians identify with eastern Orthoeox Christianity. Among ethnic Russians it's a bit higher but still below 50%

>I do agree with a lot of your state propaganda
>l founded by the Kremlin
kek most channels in Russia are funded from the governments budget. Doesnt automatically make them propaganda.
>But you have to agree to the fact that your church has hands mingled in your State and its policies
I dont. Even if the people up top cooperate with the state is has no impact on the religion itself and its tenets, that's the nature of orthodoxy, the fact that it's the original Christianity that hasn't changed and will not change.
>No State promotes religious values for free.
It's a public service channel lol. The church asked for it because its part of Russian culture and the ministry of culture obliged.
irrelevant and untrue in my opinion
