I don't really understand the Japanese sense of humor.
Why don't they ever seem to use "mean" humor as much? I don't really see banter among Japanese people as much. Do they not find it funny? And what about Western memes?

If you really want to know, try watching Terrace House (try the latest season). You find it on Netflix. The panel of commentators roast the participants continuously. You get a true glimpse into Japanese humour.

Mean joke are considered as an insult in Eurasia. It is not counted as funny nor well educated. mean jokes are considered as part of criminal and hobo culture. Normal people dont use such jokes because it is dangerous.
