majority of italians assimilated though, i know quite a few people of italian ancestry and i barely know any people since i don't go outside
I do but it's heavily mixed with standard "serbo-croatian". They didn't speak pure Chakavian in our family because my dad is Kajkavian. I can force myslelf to speak it I guess but it's not my native language.
As for my dad, I understand Slovene more than that "language".
