btw I have a question for the beginning of Yugoslavia after WW1: did Croatia and Slovania willingly join or was it more of a forced project by Serbia? Because there must've been a lot of resentment considering what happened in WW2 and then again in the 90s

I think that would have happened because AH did compete with Russia over Balkans states after the fall of the Ottoman Empire. Though I wonder how stable Orthodox nations would have been under Austrian rule. I also woudn't be for it because Austrians are one of the reasons why today "Croat" is a meme nationality.
