How the fuck do they do that and why? Not even Ireland goes that far. Most Americans who celebrate it are like 5% Irish if at all as well.

Best quality of life to cost of living for cities in the US

Chicago is one of the cities that actually does have a decent Irish-American population; not as much as Boston, but there are plenty of people here with mostly Irish blood. I'd say the two biggest white ethnic groups here are them and Poles (I'm the latter). Although I wouldn't call either myself or dudes with McSomething or O'Whatever for a last name here anything but American.

Anyway, it's temporary eco-safe dye that's just part of the festivities. St. Paddy's is honestly less about Irish wewuzzing here by this point and more just a chance to have fun and get drunk off Guinness/Jameson. Not much of a problem with it.

Most people who shittalk Chicago are Yas Forumsbaiting and haven't been here. The bad neighborhoods are pretty rough, so I get why that one user didn't like it if his family was poor enough they came from LA slums, but it's mostly a really nice, comfy city. It's like New York but more laid back.

People from Chicago are worse than people than NYC with their
>muh city
>muh capital of the midwest
very annoying

>I'm proud to be whi-- ... Irish. I'm proud to be Irish.

>over 700 murders a year
>almost as many as Italy and Spain combined
lovely

They use some secret vegetable recipe, I've heard it was an accident that just sorta became tradition. They also dyes it blue when the Cubs won in 2016

Most American cities are like that, because demographic charts don't take suburbs into account. Chicago got hit hard with white flight, so there are a bunch of comically large suburbs like Naperville and Evanston that are almost all white. If you look at the entire Chicagoland area, demographics bump up considerably.

People in Irish strongholds (Chicago, parts of NY, New England, etc) definitely aren't 5% Irish lol. Most are 40%+ and some people in NE are literally 100% Irish. Americans don't mix outside of race that much so when you have white people in an area that are like one of four ethnicities (German Irish Polish Italian) you generally get the same mixes over and over

this includes hispanic "whites"

This. Here's a fun game for those not from the Chicago area.
Whenever you meet someone from Chicago, bring up something in your local (cannot be Chicago) city. Let it be local cuisines, clubs, parks, museums, etc. Chicago people will ALWAYS without fail become super uppity and start trying to convince you whatever you're talking about Chicago has it better. They are an insufferable bunch of inbred Poles, Irish, and Africans.

Which is the best US city?

It's more violent than my city.

niggers

Indianapolis is underrated. I'm not even from anywhere near it, I just like cars and racing, and when I went on a road trip there for the Indy 500 I was surprised how pleasant my stay there was (I was just expecting dull flyoverland). People are way nicer than back home in the northeast, too.

It's got all the good parts of living in a big city while also being as laid back and friendly as the stereotypical Midwest.
