why don't they include nevada? it's just little california at this point

Why is California so openly defying the federal government?

What are they defying?

They're not listening to Trump. its up to him when everything reopens, not the states.

Where in the Constitution does it say that?

I'd love to see how they'd work as a country full of libs and Mexicans. The rest of the US would be happy to blockade this shithole.

Constitution means fuck all after the civil war

I was under the impression that Governors were responsible for "Shelter in Place" orders/lockdowns. My state locked up in mid-March and I think Florida waited till April 1, for example.

so how long until CA ends up as some failed South American country that mimics 18th century france?

america will collapse around 2050 so by then

It already looks like a failed South American country

you're right that it is up to the govenors but what California is doing is speaking for other states, which they deifnitely can't do.

The Northeast is doing the same thing though

The link just reads like these three states are going to agree to and adopt a common set of guidelines to reduce risk. Idk if that's a good idea or not, but I know if I was the Washington Governor and I just had my state take the ass fucking that they got, I'd be stringent as fuck too.

The first sentence in the link says that the three governors are agreeing to "Blah blah blah". Do you have something else that shows Cali is twisting the arms or Oregon and Washington?

Lets be real: California is twisting their arm. Is there anything indicating all the states will have an equal relationship?

Can British Columbia join too?

Where in the Constitution does it allow the president to start a war?

What's wrong with it?

I am come from missouri and I respect California's handling of this virus. A lot better than Jew York

It seems like its trying to subvert federal authority. Its weird because when a Democrat is in office, there's no talk about splitting off like this.

But now that Trump is in power and because of the flu, they want to try to leave? What?

so is arizona but i guess they just want the coast

It has to do with the way COVID is spreading. CA, OR and Wa have similar spread patterns while NV and Az Have a different curve

it doesn't as long as marshall law is not enforced

That's only 20% of the US economy. We'll be fine without them

I mean, it's a press release. We need more details. Otherwise we're making assumptions based on our priors, which is fun when you're calling Cali people fags, but the only people we're fooling here are ourselves. If they decided on a joint response as the "west coast states" or whatever, there's no way that Cali is sending agents or cops or whatever up north. If they choose to move in lockstep with Cali, that's up to the Governors of Oregon and Washington. My state isn't moving with anyone else, and our shelter in place apparently ends before Federal guidelines.

Oh you mean lying about the number of cases and still being

#6 in cases
#7 in deaths

Such great job

Nah, they are already collapsing, that's why they are transforming the entire world into brazil so that even if they collapse entirely the other countries will not be able to compete

Everything I read is saying that States have the right to place restrictions on businesses that create the "lockdown" thing. Maybe I'm reading the wrong shit but I can't find anything that says the Feds snap their fingers and the states have to respond. Maybe it would be better that way.

and #1 in population

I could give a fuck. Give us Seattle and San Diego and they can have the rest. Good riddance.

Per capita, it's way less than most states. CA population is 40 million
