India is my favorite country. I have been there 16 times in the past eight years. Do you love India, user?
Pic related--I took it in Himachal Pradesh in 2017.

Yes, I think Indians are funny and smart
I haven't even visited my parents 16 times in the past eight years.
Why is it your favorite country? Could you explain us
Do you have a bad relationship with your parents, user?
Here's another pic from Himachal Pradesh.
Hard to say, user. I actually didn't like India much the first time I visited. But it grew on me the second time around, in large part because I kept meeting interesting people. Some had good intentions, others didn't. Over time, you learn to spot who's after your money and who isn't. And in India, most people genuinely do want foreigners to enjoy their country and go home with good stories--the scams and cons are concentrated in a small handful of areas.
That aside, India is incredibly diverse. It's poor and messy and polluted, yeah, but it's essentially a collection of countries within one. Something to do and see and experience no matter what you're into. And, IMO and IME, it's one of the easiest countries to meet local people.
I've been to about 50 other countries, too. I think with India, I've spent enough time to genuinely feel like it's a home away from home (albeit one where I am incessantly stared at). It's got its good, it's got its bad, and I appreciate it regardless.
Given, I'd probably feel differently if I was a woman, but I'm not.
Based, americanon. Post some of your experiences on 8kun /india/ too.
Really can't explain concisely. Something about India just clicks with me. I think, by and large, I just identify with India's social culture--in regards to how friends interact, strangers treat one another, what potential dates and relationships expect. There's a lot of interpersonal loyalty and expectation and drama. Compared to the United States, especially, India's a much more lively place.
Never even been there, senpai. What is it?
Pic is from Naxalbari, WB
Nope, I mean there's an /india/ board on 8kun.
India is nice indeed
I am from West Bengal, too.
TBQH I've been on Yas Forums for over a decade but I have no clue what 8kun is. Apparently some derivative of 8ch*n, but I haven't been to 8ch*n in a right minute, either.
Motorcycling in Bastar
Where in West Bengal? Since you didn't call me Juan, I assume you aren't the Kolkatafag I met last summer.
Thanks, senpai. I've also been to Colombia four times. It's probably my second favorite country, of all the ones I've visited. Would really love to go again this summer, but I'm not sure I'll be able to.
Pic I took in Colombia last summer
I took a world religions class once. When we went over Hinduism it was pretty interesting.
noice. I've had to do an unpleasant amount of reading on bhakti and caste in the past year. But I've never been particularly intrigued by religion. Regardless, what did you find interesting about Hinduism?
Pic from Chhattisgarh. Allegedly the edge of the mythical and geographical Dandakaranya plateau.
It's a shithole
I like Indians, i don't know enough about India as a country to say if I like them or not.
How do you finance your trips? I can see you're a noble user.
Also I think you have some interesting histories and anecdotes to tell us, if you want.
When I was younger, I financed my trips by working multiple part-time jobs. For instance, back when I was 19, I had a few delivery gigs. Saved whatever I earned, didn't spend on anything except essential bills. First trip I ever took was Turkey-->Greece-->Turkey-->Iraq-->Turkey-->Georgia-->Armenia-->UAE-->India. Paid for everything with my delivery wages and tips.
Now I'm in my mid-twenties and work online. I'm also a graduate student and will receive a stipend to move to India later in the year (assuming coronavirus doesn't ruin it).
I have plenty of stories, but you'll have to give me a more specific topic.
I love India, but I can easily understand why other people don't.
Darjeeling
yeah man, the coronavirus issue has put a halt to international travel. I'm glad you liked it here btw
Yeah, it sucks. Tickets to Colombia are dirt cheap from my local airport, too--I think about $50 one-way. Really wanted to spend a couple months chilling in Bogota. Last time I was in Colombia, I wanted to spend a few days in Leticia and the Amazon, but I was on a bit of a budget and couldn't afford to get down there.
Soon, I hope. I think it'd be cool to do a week or so in the Colombian Amazon, then cross the border to Brazil in Tabatinga and steam up to Manaus.
>Do you love India, user?
Nah I see where is coming from, but I will say I knew 3 Indians in college, two peers and a teacher, and they were all cool by me. My professor showed me My Beautiful Laundrette and that was pretty nice. I saw Three Idiots near the end of my time there and I thought it was fantastic.
Just lol.. an Indian virtue signaling for India. India is a pile of shite. When the true Caucasian aryans controlled india in ancient times maybe, now, it’s a dravidian literal shithole where people take shits on the street.
>then cross the border to Brazil in Tabatinga and steam up to Manaus
that'd be dope af. Literally up there in my bucket list to do at some point
on*
3 Idiots is decent, but I certainly wouldn't consider it one of my favorite Hindi movies. Have you seen anything other than that, user?
ooga booga dravidian aryan gotra jati raceshit hurr
Was looking into it the other day. Doesn't seem nearly as expensive as I'd expected. If anything, it'd cost less money to fly to Leticia, boat to Manaus, and then fly to Sao Paulo or Rio than to fly directly from Bogota to either city.
Where are you from in Colombia, user?
Kolkata
It's maybe more expensive to fly out of Bogota to Leticia than from your local airport to Colombia lmao. I'm from the Caribbean coast, ever been or do you prefer the mountainous landscapes from the inland?
Been to Cartagena and Santa Marta, also passed through Barranquilla. But I haven't spent nearly as much time there as I have in Bogota and inland. Really want to go to La Guajira, though. Need to work on my Spanish, though.
you gonna come here again after the corona virus blows over naxalboo gora.
I'm supposed to move there in September, senpai.
India is only good for people with money and time
what a fucking dump of a country, even some parts of africa are more developed than this shithole
Here's a picture I took in Africa, user.
