How far has English colonization of your native language gone? Does it happen in real life or is it just internet speech?

holy shit cringe

It's not as bad as some critics say, but pretty much all neologisms are English.

We used to invent new finnish words for new things. Now it's mostly just straight english loanwords. Lots of companies have english slogans because they sound "cooler". Kids use a lot more finglish etc.

I like the english language so i don't mind

Really bad, zoomers can't stop saying 'guys' at the end of every sentences.

MUTTED

Are old people able to understand these phrases, even if they don't use them?

Based

When the Day of the Anglo Rope comes I'll make sure you're killed last Finnbro :)

Spaniards can't speak English for shit! Yet the language of Spanish younglings is filled with words like 'outfit' or even 'crush'. Disgusting!

young people all speak this weird American-Jamaican hybrid here
it happens in real life and on the internet
dont understand a word of it

>pretty much all neologisms are English.
>We used to invent new finnish words for new things. Now it's mostly just straight english loanwords

This this this. The biggest problem is that people don't know how ro make new words anylonger. We just wait for the Anglos to come up with something and then immediately put that English word into Swedish sentences.

news anchors and politicians unironically use more anglo words than commoners, outside of tech/gaming areas we dont use it much

They don't until they do. Like all teenager slang, it's used by zoomers until it's integrated into the language as a whole. Except in the (distant) past, it was often german neologisms, now it's english ones popularized by youtubers/general internet culture.

As with every aspect of culture since 1815

We will all live to see every european language become an english creole

These

tbqh it's probably 1950, especially for yuros since france was the centre of Europe while Britain wasn't involved with continentals beyond defending itself from them as they conquered half the world and America made the rest speak it

i don't hear/see english irl. fucking boring, disgusting mutt language.

OH NO NO NO NO NO WE GOT TOO COCKY NON ENGLISH SPEAKING BROS

Sometimes zoomers use english words in a way that english-speaking don't even use it (at least I don't think they do). They'll use "safe" instead of "for sure", for example. They also use "lost" in a weird way

Tailor-made for you, then, Juan Alfredo Muttelli-Ameríndéz

:^)

that 'safe' thing is from how people talk here i think, had no idea that spread overseas

These kind of always online always on twitter mid 20s student types can't speak their own language anymore basically.

chupame bien la pija, ahmed muhammed qu'ran

Can you give an example of how people use it?

>mfw I will live to see arg*Ntines bow in subservience to the mighty rulers of the Emirate of Al-Falklandia
pahahahahahahahahahahahaha on your knees, buddy!

we add few letters to make them spanish

We're all living in America
Coca cola sometimes war

Even in pre-ww1 things theres tons of mentions of europeans copying British old aristocratic traditions and fashions

>las malvinas otra vez
vos las mencionas como si me chuparan un huevo la verdad

semi far and it's really cringe and sad
i try to avoid using any loanwords myself lol

Not as much as the other way around.

i guess its basically just a general interjection. it would all be said in nu-english patois, but translated into english a short dialogue could be:
>ive just bought some weed
>safe, mate, im going to have some whilst we listen to the new skengspliff track
>yes, thats safe
>safe
