Yeah I generally felt safe when I was in Malaysia for the most part so that's why I'm thinking of backpacking SEA. (Since they had many Chinese people there and ppl recognize me as local chinese)

Most Filipinos can understand at least some English so it's very easy to communicate with foreigners.

Nah I stayed in Kuala Lumpur and Malaka for the most part so I couldn't visit Sarawak which I was quite interested in..

When I was in Phnom Penh I noticed that the government is so shit that they cannot provide trash bins.
