If you combine cash available without major efforts and home ownership it’s literally only Norway.

>Switzerland
Reassure me, you colored Switzerland, right?

oh yes nice house in croatia where you cant enter your living room because there are still landmines in it or romania where there are communal toilets
no thanks

>oh no, poor westoids don't live like this

houselet cope

Rent is a waste of money and privates you from fondamental liberties.

The only people who rent in France are the students, the people who start their career or don't have a stable jobs and the poor people in social housing.

>they don’t even own their house lmao
hmmmm sweety a 40 square meters commieblock flat in ruins built 60 years ago isn't a house ;) ok??
kys kys xoxo bitch

Home ownership has declined massively in recent years due to rising house prices. For a lot of people it's not a realistic goal anymore, especially if you're on a low wage. I wish there was a less depressing gap between wages and house prices here like there is in the east.

>like there is in the east.
retard

Good thing you guys have extensive renter's protection, including default unlimited lease, right?

Jesus, talk about laying ground for future impoverishment. If the market is controlled by landlords you'll get shit on eventually.

Looking in at the current demographic development in Eastern Europe, there will be a deflationary period and houses will lose their value over time after wages have plateau'd, just like in Japan. You buy a house there and in 10 years it loses 10-25% of its value.

I feel depressed just looking at this, everything is 5-10 times cheaper than here.

wow Moldova is so rich and developed!

I think it's correct, I remember having read some article about how it's very common to rent in Switzerland, even pensioned couples and regular families rent there.

what the fuck... average house price here in vancouver is $1,298,332. is romania a good place to live?

Most of our major political parties are completely build upon the votes of home owners

Why do they do that? It's stupid.

Just needs a little bit of paint

>is romania a good place to live?
Of course it is, that's why all romanians live in Italy, Spain and Germany

No idea, maybe they just have a system where it's beneficial to rent instead of owning? As in, maybe the property tax and other related things are either so much of a hassle or expensive that renting is a better option than in most other countries?

There's an entire house in Vilnius available for around 5000 euros the catch is it's on an official "massacre site" lol

Average salary would be 600usd here.

Put this in google translate.

COPE

>itt western zoomers who think only real estate prices matter because everyone in the whole world makes the same wage like in the west and lives in the same perfectly maintained houses just they're cheaper in eastern Europe

>I wish there was a less depressing gap between wages and house prices here like there is in the east.

Average sqm price in Warsaw is like 3k eur/sqm, average rent price is 500 eur for a small apartment, average wage is probably like 400 eur now with almost 20% unemployment, most of people struggling to survive and the whole country on lockdown

Thinking about buying a shitton of property in the capitals of Eastern European countries and renting them out just like chinks do in Western Europe lads

It's already over, international travelling, especially between Europe and China will never return to the previous level

mind you those houses are wooden and super old whole village needs makeover so they look like yellow one, aside from that everything is fine

super comfy

People need to sotp thinking that living in the center of the center of a big city is a human right. My highschool dropout mcdonald worker friend just bought his own house

you will make a shit ton of money if you do that

If you don't own your own home or some land in your nation, you are less invested in your nation, more transient, more open to change, more open to replacement, less likely to reproduce if you're more K-selected, etc. It fits in perfectly with the long term plan for Europe (same trend in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc).

Fresh coats of paint/general maintenance stuff, pave the road so it's not a fucking mess with mud, and it'd be pretty comfy.

No, he won't. Tourism is over already, deal with it.

yeah there is no point really, also at least here mortgage is the same as rent both are around 150e, its just better to buy an apartment rather than paying rent for it

Did people automatically get granted the house they lived in when your communist governments collapsed?

I don't know about ex soviet countries. But here public housing used to be very common back then. People would buy these homes for very cheap but they would be forbidden from selling them for like 20 years (to prevent speculation and stuff). That's why nowadays every fucking boomer owns an overpriced apartment.

why is it always dirt roads in places like in this picture? why not at least make em stone?

because romans never got there

Attached: k50kf2q0nrr21.jpg (655x527, 36.32K)

you have to work to make stone road and for dirt road you only walk

oh no no no

I don't want a house, why would I want to be bound to one place? Imagine limiting your possibilities

The thing, everyone in the East wants to own because tenants' rights are in a gray area here. Many people don't even rent with a contract and landlords don't pay taxes. And real estate developers aren't very interested in building apartments for rent either.
