You can stop laughing at us for having student loans now :)
You can stop laughing at us for having student loans now :)
>voting
based
If they forgive anyone's student loan debt than they should pay back my father for my education.
Making stuff free for some people but not others is unfair.
>as president
>lower medicare eligibility to age 60
This would be an amazing and radical new policy idea 25 years ago.
eliminating student loan debt is by far the most retarded idea leftists are rallying behind.
H*llary ran on lowering it to 55. Fucking clown campaign, I can't wait until he eats shit.
middle class people don't need help.
Just tell them to stop spending money on shit like Iphones and boom, no deby
In reality, how is it any different than printing money?
That's why your country is getting worse each day.
Soon you'll face a open class war
The notion of student deby by itself is laughable. There should be no debt at all
>Just tell them to stop spending money on shit like Iphones and boom, no deby
Its buying votes but it would just make things worse.
You can't just wipe debts. Its unfair.
Government interference caused the student debt issue, this isn't the answer.
WOW
I'm talking about middle class, no McDonald workers
Exactly, you chose to take out debts, you pay.
Live with your investment.
On the off chance you're not trolling why don't you start ripping up public roads and waterways right now?
>Its just not fair
>tfw you could have stopped it
There aren't special roads just for some people.
Everyone benefits from public roads and waterways. Its not giving money to some people because they took out debts but than not giving money to people who were responsible and payed for their education without going into debt.
Biden will make public college free for anybody earning less than 125k per year :)
Wtf im voting for biden now
Why didn't you just take out a loan?
It's fucked up how american culture is solely based on greedy
Eliminating student debt would be almost nothing, but they don't want to hurt the great bankers profits
I'm about to blow your mind. Your taxes go to roads you will never drive on. You benefit from a more educated populace made up of people you will never meet.
Andrew Yang is the only person who understood the issues.
If you can't afford to go to college, don't, do a trade, there are plenty of other opportunities. Too many people go to college already.
Andrew Yang understood fairness, his UBI check would go out to everyone, he wasn't just giving it out to certain people.
That's pretty much how it should be.
>student debt
>low-income families
lmao
low income families don't even consider college
>Your taxes go to roads you will never drive on.
But I can take them if I wanted to, I can't chose to get my tuition back from the government.
And I don't benefit from a more educated populace, we have too many people going to college already.
No it shouldn't, its unfair to the people whose families earn more than 125k
>No it shouldn't, its unfair to the people whose families earn more than 125k
It's unfair that billionaire companies receive billions in subsidies, but they still receive it anyway.
Real talk, does Biden have any real chance against Trump?
Lmao stay mad richfag
I went to college as a poor kid. I qualified for the full Pell Grant and got financial need grants from the school itself.
corporate bailouts and oil wars are much better investments than your own citizens education, I agree
>And I don't benefit from a more educated populace, we have too many people going to college already.
It's the opposite in fact. Society is getting more specialised and you need educated people to run that society.
A one-time forgiveness of student debt might not be a bad idea, but going forward there should be NO MORE loans for unemployable degrees. No more loans for gender studies, English literature, whatever. There should be a reasonable expectation that the student will be able to pay back that money. If 18 year old Sally Sue wants an extended childhood studying folklore or some other horse shit than let her parents pay for it out of pocket....
Its not fair that they would give people money for their irresponsible choices but not give me the money that my family put up for my college since we responsibly paid for it.
Wouldn't matter, my dad earns more than 125k. But its not like I have a lot of money, he spends a lot of his money on vacation homes.
>And I don't benefit from a more educated populace
>Lower medcare
American healthcare system os so confusing.
Biden will crush Trump in the election :)
my dad makes sub 20k a year and Im in college right now
>But I can take them if I wanted to
That argument makes no sense, its a public good so the choice to take it now exists like it does for free education. Imagine scaling this argument to a town well or the ability to go to high school. It does not hold water.
>I can't chose to get my tuition back from government
Literally the same argument could be made for the construction of infrastructure. Your grandfather wasn't reimbursed for all the time he spent going to the town well either.
>and I don't benefit from a more educated populace
Historically, economical and sociological evidence say otherwise.
>we have too many people going to college
There's that spite based anti-intellectualism that's really at the core of this
>Dood, polls don't mean anything, you know they said Hillary would win rite???
>but what about
That's not what we were discussing and is irrelevant to this topic.
No degree is unemployable considering having a bachelors degree in something is a big help getting a job even if its not what your major was. College isn't a vocational school, its just a matter of being motivated enough to get your job.
But I agree that loans should be only for STEM degrees that have an easy path to a career.
Biden showing his radical socialist colors once again. He'll lose in an even bigger landslide than Hillary did.
>general elections
hillary also won the popular vote, but you know what matters are the battleground states
Who will be bidens running mate?
America has a higher percentage of people going to college than most European universities. We don't need it
Anyways, I was going to vote for Biden, but now I'm voting for Trump. He could have made an actual beneficial policy proposal like Healthcare reform, but instead he resorted to buying votes from people who made poor choices to go to expensive schools without a scholarship.
>hillary also won the popular vote,
Only if you include all the votes cast illegally in California.
> He'll lose in an even bigger landslide than Hillary did
Hillary won the popular vote though
what we need is to limit the bullshit degrees that people can get, only STEM and maybe history allowed
Nope, Trump did. Hillary had millions of illegal votes going her way, which should have been disqualified.
>we dont need people getting an education
Trudeau's Liberal Party also lost the popular vote in Canada, but as you can see popular vote doesn't really matter
So last time a lot of people didn't tell anyone that they were going to vote for trump, this time it will be the opposite and these people will quietly vote him out
I'm a history major but we shouldn't be giving out FAFSA to history majors since it doesn't have a guaranteed job path.
I recognize this and realize that getting my first real job will be tough, although I'll probably get an MBA since my dad will pay for that.
Stop coping, only once in the last 32 years has a republican president won the popular vote and it was during a reelection which you're guaranteed to win anyway if you're don't have a massive scandal.
Canada has a multi-party system and left wing parties got the hard majority of the vote tho
We have a different system though, and in Trudeau's case his government could fall at any time. Honestly it's kind of fucked that in a 2 party presidential system someone can get elected without the popular vote.
Polling has been pretty broken since the 2016 election. Nobody knows anything anymore, which is weirdly exciting.
You're the one coping. In 2016, Trump won with the highest college vote since Reagan and he will win with the highest college vote ever in November.
Hilary didn't get a majority in 2016
I'd be willing to bet good money that it will be the milf governor of Michigan. He's already said his running mate will be a woman, apparently she's getting a bit of national profile now because of the chinkflu, and Biden needs to win the rust belt to beat Trump.
Trump should change out his VP, Evangelicals are going to vote for him regardless.
Why? Pence has been a great VP.
Yes, and?
He hasn't been a great VP or a bad VP, VPs don't do anything other than say random shit and make headlines.
They're a figurehead.
>it's another episode of a non-american sucking MIGA cock like no tommorow
SAD!
He's shown great leadership as the head of the coronavirus task force.
It's honestly quite bizarre, particularly the Brazilians. Brazilian pedes are especially retarded
>it's another episode of a non-american sucking Dem cock like no tomorrow
