By European standards he's very much a centrist, not at all the commie American media touts him to be.
Why didn't Americans vote for Bernie?
Because americans are stupid. I legit believe he would beat Trump. Biden is just Hillary with a penis and despite all his support, he can lose.
Based Americans still hate socialists.
Here he would be considered right-wing.
American are by far the most retarded when it comes to politics, both left and right wingers.
Fucking this. Trump is gonna fucking win again because half the population gets 100% of its political information from Fox news
t. Rakosi Matyas.
We aren't communists unlike you yuropoors.
What did they mean by this?
what are his policies that make him centrist?
I voted for Biden in the California primary :)
We have extremely low social trust.
do dumb
cold war brainwashing against socialism + christianity + residual rugged frontier individualism + freedumb larping
so dumb
I really can't believe people living in such in a fragile financial situation would needlessly waste so much money
rusian false flags
pot calling the kettle black
They mean it's time for Bernie to buy another house.
Isn't Bernie Sanders still in the race?
He's bad at outreach and he has developed a toxic cult-like base that turns everybody else off. It tells you something that he made absolutely no progress with black voters the second time around and that every single candidate, from Andrew Yang and Tulsi Gabbard to Kamala Harris and Cory Booker endorsed Biden over Bernie
Communist kike never wanted to win
Only take money from gulible communists for a second time
Not an american, but it's because both Biden and Bernie are senators; pencil pushers who don't have any real leadership experience. What the americans want is another Bill Clinton, a candidate with experience as a governer under their belt.
An even deeper issue here is the use of superdelegates within the democratic party that ensures that only people who serve as the best possible puppet for their party ever get the chance as gaining the nomination. It's a double edge sword because had the republicans had a robust superdelegate system, Trump would have never won the nomination.
American politics is quite machiavellian.
>Why didn't Americans vote for Bernie?
>the commie American media touts him to be.
You answered your own question
They changed the rules on superdelegates so they can only vote if there's no majority after first round voting.
vote supression and fake news actually worked. The megacorporations would never let american people choose their own leaders
>post-Stewbeef Daily Show
Stop this meme, only the far left "endorsed" him. He had pretty radical tax policies even with European standards. His Medicare for all programme would be much more expensive than any European system. And then he was still lacking funding for all his policies.
American """democracy""" is a joke anyway
t. Doesn't even support Bernie
If half the population gets information from Fox News, what makes you think Bernie stands a chance against Trump lol
>too scared to watch it
>only the far left "endorsed" him
In America Angela Merkel is considered far left
>He had pretty radical tax policies even with European standards
Blatant lie, it would be impossible to amass as much wealth Michael Bloomberg in any European country
> His Medicare for all programme would be much more expensive than any European system. And then he was still lacking funding for all his policies.
South Korea's healthcare system is literally copy/pasted from Medicare and isn't lacking any funding, you disingenuous piece of shit.
How many houses is he going to buy now?
The mentality that Berniebros have is hilarious. They only operate on zero sum politics and have a childish lashing out whenever they don't get an uncompromised version of what they demand, so they go insane. No shit the mainstream Democrats aren't reaching out too hard to you or aren't aligning with Bernie, because their base is on par with fundamentalists who can't cope with the fact they have no growth beyond 25-30% of the Democrat voter base, can't appeal to black voters and moderates, and only are loud because they get amplified on Twitter and Reddit.
People still believe this lie?
Lot of Americans did vote for him, he was in second place.
But fact is you cannot win the Democratic nomineeship without the Black Vote. You just can't. Black vote is the backbone of Democratic party and without that you aren't going to win anything.
>muh "White Working Class"
>muh Latinos
>muh Muslms
Not enough.
Angela Merkel was a member of the Communist party of eastern Germany. I don't care what she calls herself now, she always will be a 5th columnist.
What does Bloomberg's wealth have to do with anything?
Medicare doesn't cover every american and it's still a massive drain of funds. How stupid are you to think that 320 million people plus 20 million illegals would be covered adequately
Basically Trumpkins but way too try-hard to be charming. Their attempts at ironic memes are particularly cringeworthy.
>They only operate on zero sum politics and have a childish lashing out whenever they don't get an uncompromised version of what they demand, so they go insane.
You've just described every Trump supporter
in before
>b-b-b-but Black ZOOMERS!
Not a thing.
Because his solution for everything is "just tax the rich", ignoring the fact that the rich can simple go away and take the jobs with him.
Also, he is senile and would not survive 4 years.
The DNC and RNC literally control the media, and neither of them wants any candidate even near Sanders's stances.
Sanders is a liberal in Europe, but he's an extreme radical in the US because one party is reactionary; and the other is "anything except the reactionaries" (and run by conservatives).
Yeah turns out Bernie Bros and Magatards are 2 sides of the same buttmad populist coin.
Who knew?
>By European standards he's very much a centirst
No he's not. Most European countries have not abolished private insurance, don't have a wealth tax, don't support anti-trade policies and haven't wiped out peoples debts
>Angela Merkel is considered far left
No she is not. There are issues other than health care, you know. And even then she is to the right of Bernie, she hasn't advocated for the abolition of private insurance
>Blatant lie, it would be impossible to amass as much wealth Michael Bloomberg in any European country
What about Bernard Arnault, a Frenchmen with a net worth of 76 billion dollars.
Sweden and Norway, two countries Bernie claims to be modeling his ideas after, have more billionaires per capita than the USA.
If I were American I would support trump, why support commies? The only left policies I support that the US isn't adopting is free Healthcare and free universities. The rest is pure bullshit and faggotry
Summer homes in northern New England are called camps
Black youth didn't vote, so the few that do turn up to vote are the activist types who will naturally trend towards bernie.
not an argument
Trump took on the mainstream media AND Fox News AND the GOP establishment in 2016. (If you don't remember his spat with Megyn Kelly during the primary debates or demolishing the guac bowl merchant despite being outspent 10x then you're either partisan to the point of insanity or literally underage). He ultimately brought all of them to heel. Bernie had two attempts to circumvent the party that he isn't even a part of outside campaign season, and he failed both times.
He has his house he bought decades ago, his parents house in New England which he inherited and wants to keep for sentimental reasons, and his required living space in Washington DC
Literally nothing wrong with that. Funny how you Trumpers pretend to care about real estate now
There aren't any, Bernie has claimed that he is trying to model his policies after Scandinavia and his supporters started to believe it. In reality his policies are much to the left of any Western European country.
>ONLY SANE RESPONSE DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYONE ELSE
>VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV
It was a media loss. Despite the majority of Democratic voters favoring his healthcare plan, the media spun a very convincing lie that he wasn't "electable" and that putting him up against Trump would be suicide. With that narrative, they don't even have to attack his policy.
Where's the evidence of this? Look at the voter split. Old people are the only ones who watch cable news and they went Biden overwhelmingly. People who are 45yo or younger get their news from less dishonest sources and they favor Bernie overwhelmingly.
The MSM hates Bernie because he will tax their companies more and is a threat to the corporate hegemony. During this whole campaign they hid the flaws of all his rivals and tried to dig up all the dirt they could on him.
Now that the coverage will be more balanced in the general election, watch as Biden crumbles as people realize what a shitty person he is.
>^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
>ONLY SANE RESPONSE DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYONE ELSE
Speaking of being outspent, Sanders spent 3.5x more than Biden and lost. So much for the "too much money in politics" talking point that leftists love so much.
Bernie is a millionaire dude, why the hell does he need donations for campaign?
The did but the DNC rigged it the same way the did for Hillary.
Why do you people do argue in bad faith all the time? Lol.
It's the same thing as when you say "I guess the liberals are the REAL racist" and nobody buys it
The public option polls better than Medicare for All
Merkel is centre-right not a communist by any means
Eastern european countries are much more right wing than the west despite many of their politicians being part of their communist parties at the time
Trump and Bernie were running in 2 different primaries though.
Democratic voters tend to be a lot more in tune with media narratives. The "new media" of random twitter/Yas Forums threads doesn't play as well in DNC circles as it does GOP.
Democrats already saw how Trump managed to win over a divided field because too many Republicans hung on too long. That's why every Democrat was able to drop out and endorse Biden before Bernie had a chance to drag this shit out. Oh besides Marianne Williamson of course, Bernie's one and only endorsement.
DNC is more diverse. Trump would have done a lot worse if he had to win over black voters.
Already was kind of proven with Trump vs Hillary.
Yeah it's not like politicians would lie or something like that.
presidential campaign cost many times mr. sanders' net worth.
and one last thing. Trump got super-negative coverage but it actually helped him, why?
I'd say Democrats are more gullible and listen to what corporate media tells them. In addition, Trump took that negative press and owned it, he forced the spotlight on himself so he could dismantle his opponents by exposing them as the frauds they are. Trump was not afraid to bully his opponents and stick a knife in them. Bernie is much too nice of a person to do that and as such he failed to expose the corporate whores he shared the stage with.
Look back at the Clinton v. Obama 2008 fiasco. That was a dirty, dirty fight and Obama was NOT afraid to throw punches at her. Honestly Bernie looked like a pussy as much as I hate to say it. Virtuous image be damned when so much is on the line.
This is what it looks like to me as a somewhat unbiased observer:
1)Bernie promises radical changes that attract a lot of the lower and middle classes but aren't easy to implement.
2)Because his changes are hard to implement and because he rarely adopts an aggressive stance against other democratic candidates, he tends to lose popularity with the moderates.
3)He inevitably loses the primaries and ends up costing his lower and middle class support base hundreds of dollars each.
It looks like he knows he can't implement his policies in government and so is actively trying to lose the primary while trying to generate support for progressive policies. He probably aims to gradually shift the democratic base as a whole before trying to actually win. He's too old to run again but he's laid the groundwork for a future progressive candidate.
Yikes. But didn't Bernie march for black rights back in the 70's or something?
What has what has Biden ever done for black people to warrant such favoritism?
Blacks are just really ungrateful
Europeans are marginally left-wing-ish when it comes to healthcare. Most Americans like the idea of free healthcare too, tbf.
But talk to a European about immigrants or worse yet, gypsies and they will go far right really fast. Yikes.
You're putting way too much thought into Black voting patterns.
Most of them probably didn't know who Bernie or Mayor Pete were and just voted for Biden because he was Obama's Vice President and that's who their Pastor told them to vote for.
commondreams.org
I'm talking about primary voters. You have the general populace.
that's a retarded meme only repeated by american leftists.
Bernie is farther left on many issues than scandi countries for example, that's accounting for him obviously hiding his hammer and sickle power level.
>But didn't Bernie march for black rights back in the 70's or something?
Yeah and he's done nothing for Black people since or worked with Black community since. He is literally a Senator from one of the whitest states in the union. It's not enough to "march back in the 70s", and the fact that so many Bernie Bros thought that was enough says it all.
Blacks were about 50/50 split until about 40 years ago when Republicans suffered a coup from evangelicals.
Republican Party probably won’t be around in 10-15 years
why would they not like immigrants?
>muh low info voters!!
Keep seething
Immigration isn't a right-left issue.
But you're right that the notion that Europe is much to the left of the USA is overstated, with health care its true but with other issues it is not.
The reason free healthcare hasn't gained political traction is because the people proposing it came with other left wing baggage, like wiping student loan debts and instituting a wealth tax that would benefit nobody other than banks in Bermuda.
Why are american politics so polarized? Why couldn't you find a normal european tier mainstream social democrat instead of some boomer who is stuck in 70s communist revolutions?
our political system is bipartisan populace who dont understand compromise and keep letting two oligarch groups fuck up the common man for 8 years
It went from "European countries have Universal healthcare, we should institute it as well" to "Bernie would be a centrist in Europe, all European countries have already instituted his ideas, every European country has a wealth tax and has abolished private insurance, you are an idiot for thinking he is left wing!'
Free healthcare is very liked among voters, Trump even promised it during one point of the Republican primary. Everyone at least knows our current system is the absolute worst of all worlds.
But I think actually implementing it on top of our already broken and expensive system is the hard part. Medicaid/Medicare are already extremely expensive, far more expensive than our military budget for example. We'd need to make the prices cheaper, by cutting tons of middleman jobs, cutting salaries, putting price controls on drugs/medical equipment (thus costing jobs). Who knows.
> centrist
100% socialist party here
I'm not a Bernie supporter, I'm just noting that Blacks are all straight up low info voters.
I honestly respect the fact that the electorate doesn't care that the candidate has dementia and think it adds entertainment value.
Bernie supporters equate universal health care to single payer insurance. It's crazy
