yeah, it was the original.
The others, such as that one, were more of king's standard than actual flags, portuguese armies still fielded the blue cross for very long after independence.
I believe that only changed some kings after we took the castillian heraldry at which point the 5 scutions became our trademark, more so than the cross (that was used still, but more stilisized or in combination with other symbols).
