Do you love China?
"Bún chả" pic related
It's just good. I don't know what other ways to explain.
yes and no, their presence sometime feels threatening.
normal people
thoughts on non-asian non-whites:
* blacks
* desis (south asians)
* native americans
* latinos
* pacific islanders
blacks: cool culture, older generations of african-amercian were so artsy i guess, the same can't be said properly to younger ones
south asians: i don't know much abt them besides tech support meme and cheesy tv dramas
latinos: hot women, i like the way their language sounds
pacific islanders: idk much
>the same can't be said properly to younger ones
what do you mean by this, like you like disco and funk but not hiphop?
>and cheesy tv dramas
do people in vietnam watch indian series or bollywood?
>i like the way their language sounds
spanish is ugly desu
also you forgot native americans
im surprised you say yes.
i thought it would be 100% no
also is it true that vietnamese are koreaboos now
If you saw an American, what would you say to him?
please go home, GI?
Did Ho CHi Minh like big ol tiddies? or was he an ass man?
is the name saigon no longer used in vietnam at all to refer to ho chi minh city?
For the love of god, please make it clear once and for all how 'Nguyen' is pronounced. Also, don't the people feel weirded out by the fact that so many (unrelated) people share the same last name?
PS: Why is your canned fish so weird?
Do you want to live in America? Why don't you go live there?
Bun cha is god tier cuisine
I do like some specific hip hop albums but I don't dig their general attitude.
and yes, old people do watch these stuff but it's not necessarily popular among youth. i find just these funny so i mentioned them
>also you forgot native americans
i'm descended from chinese (6th-7th gen) so my opinion might be a bit uncommon
I believe he prefered ass
tell me about vietnam's ethnic minorities and their relationship to the kinh
I knew he was based
the only i know about them is apache resistance
it IS still used widely, there's some political shite going on about their arguably intechangeable usage. anyway, not going to talk about that for now
as a foreigner what name should i use
Nguyen was a powerful clan in Vietnam, they'were so influential that people take up their names in hope of improving their social standing
youtube.com
this one's close enough
Are you proud of defeating USA? i mean i'm proud of you.
No. Their amenities are expensive, their streets are not particularly safe and my investment makes better return here.
also they (the Nguyen clan) themselves did promise to give out some benefits if you change your surname so that they get more power
whichever you want, this matter related judgements don't apply to foreigners
I'm 4rd gen and I fucking hate China. It's the air of this place, you breathe it in and you hate Ch*na.
what's your favorite period of vietnamese history?
cringe
I am, we all are. but I think our victory was partly based on being at the right place at the right time.
just gotta keep going forward
Later Le dynasty because it's based. Kings were descended from a revolution leader (Le Loi), they were cool. We were somewhat prosperous.
what are the differences between
>north vietnam
>central vietnam
>south vietnam
north vietnam: commie spirit, thoughtful people, rich culture
central: Đà Nẵng is the only place worth visiting, nothing much going on, poor compared to other parts of the country
south vietnam: a bit materialistic, developed infrastructure, hates the North,
Thank you for Ban mih and Pho.
how does Cần Thơ rate? I knew someone from there
whats with the hate? is it because of the vietnam war? or..?
why does the south have better infrastructure and is more developed
which place is better to visit as a tourist north or south?
it's pretty okay
partly bc of Vietnam war, the Southern people once had their own capitalistic government, after the reunification, some of them still bear hatred toward the North for destroying their cranky fake puppet nation
it's more open to economic growth, we love centralized development
do vietnamese from the south look like vietnamese from the north
north if you want the culture
south if you just want to have fun
doesn't tha mean that the central government in hanoi controls everything? why does the south have a more open economy?
oh and forgot to ask - what do people think about cambodians and khmer people?
Rate my ancestry, both my parents immigrated to Thailand which was where I was born
Do you like trees and nature?
why do they group chinese with southeast asian?
i can call you bro
Thoughts on Ho Chi Minh?
I have no clue, sorry
Sure
Is Vietnam a socialist state?
is it viet nam or vietnam?
are you part chinese?
not so much now, there're some elements of commercialism, we don't starve but surely we're no european tier rich
Does the state still control industry or does the private sector dominate?
great guy, though his ideas are not so relevant now
your victory was based off china and russia, lmao. Contrary to the popular belief, both the northern army and viet cong were very well equipped and they had spetsnaz advisors training them
Favorite city or place in Vietnam?
Vietnam
Hello there, how often do you eat pho and how do you pronounce Ngyuen?
i have been to vietnam, so dont really have things to ask you. didnt have any culture shock other than those scooters. even that i got used to it quickly.
it was like a mixture of old japan and modern stuff. foods were tasty and similar to ours. you wont have any problem with japanese food in general if you are ever gonna come here. hopefully i wanna go there a few more times.
with the rise of large scale enterprise like Vingroup, things have changed quite a bit
Hahahaha looks like a "Bún chả" scran if you ask me
I know, that's why I said we were at the right time (USSR prime)
thanks, japan is nice, i like samurai stuff
vietnamese poster. i'm going to sleep
pls answer this so i can read it in the morning
Not OP, but I have also been to Japan twice. I am not a weaboo, the only mangas that I have read are Doraemon and Yaiba, but I love your country and cuisine. Ramen is as based as pho.
Almost booked another ticket to go this April if the Corona didn't happen. I planned to go see the sakura blossom, hoard retro PC stuffs and devour more ramen.
