Right now the systems of alliances aren't fully setted up yet like before WW1 or during Cold War. The conditions are not right just yet.

True people only care about Africa due to its natural resources and it's labour, it has been like that since the 1700-1800 with the slave trade and the 1900 with the colonising for minerals.
