Well americans at this point are probably to mixed up to say that they are "german americans" or "english americans", they are just wypipo.
Unless you go to Deep South where whites are mostly of english and scot-irish heritage, or like Winsconsin where they were mostly germans, but overall it's a mixed bag

Außerdem war die amerikanische Bevölkerung knapp nach der ursprünglichen Revolution ziemlich „Englisch“ mit Bezuf auf die Bereiche, die du da erwähnst. Für all meine Mitbürger mit englischem Blut, die der Macht dieses Landes ständig loben: hätte es keine Wellen von deutschsprachigen Einwanderern/Siedlern zwischen 1700 und 1800 gegeben, die heutigen USA würden wahrscheinlich Canada oder Neuseeland ähneln, noch einmal mit Bezug auf Waffenentwicklung, Forschung, Krieg usw.
