Catalan cuisine > Italian > Everything else

Catalan cuisine > Italian > Everything else

Catalans, apart from reinventing architecture (Gaudí with modernisme - the finest version of art nouveau) and high art (Salvador Dalí - greatest genius painter of the last century, who raised surrealism to another level). Catalans also reinvented cuisine. 2 out of 7 considered best restaurants of the century are Catalan (notice how small Catalonia is). El Bulli (chef Ferran Adrià) was the greatest place to eat in the world during many years till it closed down almost 10 years ago. Then appeared Celler Can Roca (disciples, brothers Roca) and was also considered the greatest for couple of years.

Now seems there’s a new rule (idk know why, not an expert) since the list’s (of World’s 50 Best Restaurants) inception and will therefore not be eligible for voting in 2019 or beyond. The Catalans were taking too much credit apparently… (not good for Spain).

ITALIANS READ THIS PS
PS1: I’m talking about absolute terms here. I think ‘traditionally’ Italian food is the best in the world: is easy to prepare, is cheap and tastes enough good. Everyone knows that. But if you were a millionaire with plenty of time, you definitely would eat Cuina Catalana d’Avantguarda more often because it’s just far superior.

PS2: Yeah, I edited (not officially) and put the Senyera (Catalan flag) instead of the Spanish one, just to make things clear here… You’ll find the Spanish flag here (unfairly sad): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_World's_50_Best_Restaurants

Here I’m attaching two videos of how El Bulli and Ferran Adrià changed the idea of ‘eating’ for ever:

Catalan achievements

Catalans are the backbone of spain. Unlike the castillans and andalusians who resemble the inhabitants of the Maghreb, the Catalan is innovative and fair-skinned, bearing much resemblance physically to central French.

Name some invention from catalonia

Anglo Saxons.

This interview of Dalí mocking American stupidity is great: youtu.be/2Y4btzjsb0c

Institut de Nova Historia ≠ catalans

What kind of revisionism are you talking about? We are still creating culture, meanwhile you're keep thinking and rethinking around 2500 year old buildings

>What kind of revisionism are you talking about? We are still creating culture,

Name things Catalonia is advanced in.

There is no such things as Catalans. False identity, false culture.

Catalans are the shame of Spain, they imported Islam again in the peninsula and are the area with most Muslims and other shitskins.

I've mentioned many in this thread: architecture, art, cuisine, scientific research (cancer, probably the most important one). royalmarsden.nhs.uk/taxonomy/editorial-topic/research

What's wrong with your reading comprehension buddy.

Meanwhile here I am, trying to communicate with you murican guys in your language, because it will take you decades to domain any of my mother tongues.

nice and slimy

Don't worry, serious catalans have no intention to claim any of what is considered northern Catalonia: you made it ugly, vulgar and dirty. Perpignan specially.

What happened to elBulli?

>Perpignan
Visa Pour l'Image is a great festival tho

Lmao is that the catalan page or did you change all the flags. Either way is pretty sad.

Ferran decided to quit and turned it into an academy, already closed I think. He's now making business everywhere. Sad.

>7 million people
>not a single nobel
Lol

I'm convinced Catalan nationalists are foreign agents people with their own agenda or mentally incompetent people.

>who raised surrealism to another level
Not even the most relevant ESPAÑOL to do surrealism, amigo

Sigan!!!

It's the later, believe me we have to suffer them here.

t. normal catalan

Ojo, que ahora Buñuel>Dalí no? XD.

Give me your state brother, I'll give you my reasons

>ahora Buñuel>Dalí
>ahora

Attached: 1578931809144.jpg (618x645, 90.62K)

Fin.

Catalonia isn't a country.
Also I would get just as good food at a authentic Mexican taco truck as I would at any of these restaurants.
El Pastor Tacos > Whatever some faggot elitist cook concocted.

I'm shocked France isn't dominating this list, they have dozens of Michelin star restaurants.

Who the fuck cares what a tire company thinks about restaurants

Catalonia is wonderful i love it

That's because the best french chefs work in foreign countries

>hurr durr muh calc
How about you stop shitposting in Yas Forums and go study for your exams you snooty college sophomore? You are a literal nobody.

I'm not doing your homework

Me has convencido!

How do you differ shit and Spanish cuisine, OP?

Difficult. Jamón is good tho.

Lol

They have the Bocuze d'or.

Seafood wise, what is better, Catalan or Galician? Also, how is the food in Cadiz?

The best restaurants are in Barcelona and Catalonia. Also Basque Country and then Madrid. If you can afford them ofc (I'm talking about high cuisine). Overall, the traditional gastronomy is really good in all the Iberian Peninsula (also Portugal). If we talk about seafood, Galicians are known for 'percebes' and Catalans for 'suquet'. The quality is really good in both.

>Cadiz

I've been to Cadiz, seafood is also good there. 'Pescaito frito' is the most popular dish.

If you want modern pretentious shit go to Barcelona and Madrid.

For real food anything else is decent.

Estoy convencido xD

imagine believing these rankings
