hasn't most every dictator or monarch presented themselves as a superhuman figure though? from flat-out god to descendant of one to divine or clerical mandate. wouldn't say that constitutes a religion but of course it has elements or makes uses of one.
I'm not responsible for what an American does just because we both happen to be white if that's what you mean. as opposed to a religion a 'race' doesn't have inherent unifying beliefs.
