It's alright. Some people there are really great and kind, but tons of people are snobby highly educated libs that look down on you. MA coast is peak comfy but so expensive and tons of heroin. Would go there but my gf wants to move elsewhere.

I'm not an expert, but there's generally more hardline christian fundie and white nationalist stuff in the rockies and PNW. the south and east coast are more mixed so it's a bit cooled. I notice most of the far right/left shit takes place on the west coast, as it seems the east is more socially subdued, but not always. Prominent right wing movements in the east (and the west, but more in the east because gun control laws are being pushed) are gaining steam in the form of gun rights movements, like the recent massive march in virginia, and the proposal for an interstate compact of southern states
