You guys are incredibly diverse racially and it's just so weird from my point of view so I have a few questions:
>do people from different races have different cultures in your country/state?
>is there wealth disparity between races in your country/state?
>is there racism in your country/state?
>how is racemixing viewed in your country/state?
Questions for Latin Americans anons
>not so different
>yes
>yes
>nobody cares or atleast the people i know
Vai cagar, Manuel Ahmat Ngobu
why so aggressive?
This
>No really, a blonde blue eyed person and a brown mestizo person speak the same, eat the same, listen to the same stuff...
>Yes, whites tend to be wealthier than Amerindians, but not always
>Yes, but most people don't realize it because it's normalized
>nobody cares, it's normal
>>No really, a blonde blue eyed person and a brown mestizo person speak the same, eat the same, listen to the same stuff...
that's pretty cool
>>Yes, but most people don't realize it because it's normalized
what do you mean? how is it manifested?
lookism
>do people from different races have different cultures in your country/state?
Yes, Mexico is a big country. Northern culture is quite different from the southern one
>is there wealth disparity between races in your country/state?
yeah, around 90% of CEOs of big companies are castizos/hispanic white
>is there racism in your country/state?
veiled but yeah, "indio" is still used as a derogatory term
>how is racemixing viewed in your country/state?
we are basically a race-mixed country so it's normal for everyone except the upper class
>do people from different races have different cultures in your country/state?
Yes, this cunt feels like 4 countries in one. Depending on the region people talk differently, use different pronouns, customs, and so on
>>is there wealth disparity between races in your country/state?
Kinda, but it's not uncommon to see an upper middle class black or mulatto man. Race isn't as important in that regard. You can find "white" looking people living in abject poverty easily as well, our version of trailer trash or rednecks if you will
>>is there racism in your country/state?
yes, not openly but it definitely exist. Blacks in this country live in isolation on the pacific coast and face a lot of discrimination. Basically is the poorest region of the country
>how is racemixing viewed in your country/state?
irl no one gives a damn since most people are mixed anyway. There's still taboo to mix with visibly black people, but light blacks are actually very successful with the opposite sex. About amerindians, they don't even live in cities, are a minority countrywide and have their own reservations far from cities, they live very rural lives so for someone not living in a reservation it is unthinkable to even have a relationship with them
>>do people from different races have different cultures in your country/state?
not really, race is not a big issue here. There's differences in our culture in general depending if you go north or south.
>>is there wealth disparity between races in your country/state?
no, though a lot of wealthy chileans are white, I've seen wealthy mestizos
>>is there racism in your country/state?
yes, against black immigrants and our own natives
>>how is racemixing viewed in your country/state?
we see ourselves as a mixed country so, normal
I will answer for florida and mexico
Florida:
>do people from different races have different cultures in your country/state?
yes, definitely. Not only between countries but within them. Black and white cubans for example have different social customs and stuff. same with puerto ricans. With mexicans it is the divide between assimilated mestizos and more traditional indians.
>is there wealth disparity between races in your country/state?
massively. White cubans are near the very top income wise along with other Caribbean and south americans who fled their countries. The middle class here is made up of mestizos and some triracial/mulatto people from all latin american countries except central america and south mexico.
>is there racism in your country/state?
Not much. It is mostly between latinos and whites. There are some tensions between latino ethnicities but it is minor
>how is racemixing viewed in your country/state?
I think that dating a black dominican or puerto rican is seen the same way as dating a black american. so I guess looked down upon or accepted by coal burners. Between latinnos who white, mixed, or native, there is no real stigma.
1-In Mexico if there is a lot of difference between states, it is a multi-cultural and multi-language country.
2 & 3- Racism is not really a problem, only the "high class" are usually tend to be racist, the real problem among Latinos is "classism", if you have money, it doesn't matter if your skin is green or purple.
4.- Nobody cares, as I said, the problem is not racism but classism.
>"indio" is still used as a derogatory term
how can it be if so many are race mixed?
>Something, but it has been lost and later integrating cultures into one.
>Yes.
>Yes.
>So normal.
so I have a question for France
How are the relations between black people and maghrebis? And what about those two and europeans?
Mexico is very diverse so this will vary. I will try to answer based on experience and not reading
>do people from different races have different cultures in your country/state?
very different. whites and whiter mestizos are often assimilated into western culture, mestizos have the more traditional hispanic culture, natives have a more traditional native culture with some religious, dietary, etc differences
>is there wealth disparity between races in your country/state?
definitely. many of the rich are white, as in full blooded. natives are almost always poor, and the middle classes are mostly mestizo.
An anecdote: I celebrated someone's birthday with my whiteish/mestizo family on a plantation. all those who were serving us were native. our clothing combined with the racial disparity and location made it look similar to something you'd have seen in the 1800's.
>is there racism in your country/state?
Yes? but not much now. Racism most commonly takes its form in admiring whiter people looks wise, and in denying native heritage if you have no explicit links. In the past, racism was much more explicit, my mom told me they used to call them monkeys and my great grandma hated my grandpa for being native.
>how is racemixing viewed in your country/state?
It is pretty much not an issue that I have ever heard about.
because insecure people think that lighter skin color = better, also, it doesn't help that until a few years ago, a lot of tv programs and commercials were featured by people with a light skin color even though the vast majority is at least light brown-skinned
>until a few years ago
looks the same to me in telenovelas and advertisements still
kinda, if you consider immigrants from caribbean countries but even they aren't that different.
wealthy people tend to be more european than the average but some of them are heavily mixed too
i would say yes, especially towards haitians, venezuelans, peruvians, etc..
it's common, inter-class couples is a little bit less common but i guess that happens everywhere
Perú wiII try their best!
and to be more specific with the word "indio", since the pure "indios" (a.k.a. natives) in the country are mostly secluded and living in poor conditions, people think they're stupid, which is not the case
>>do people from different races have different cultures in your country/state?
Yes. In fact, there are many places where you cannot enter (under thread of punishment) if you are not from that specific community. Some native communities also have their own law.
>>is there wealth disparity between races in your country/state?
There is, and it's still growing. Gringoids (Anglos) and Germanoids are generally the richest, and natives generally are the poorest. Everyone else is whatever.
>>is there racism in your country/state?
There is. It's far less intense but more widespread these days.
>>how is racemixing viewed in your country/state?
Depends. If you're mixing with someone superior to you. then your family will be happy. If you are not, then you are seen as desperate.
let's say it went down from a 100% to 90%
hmm maybe
what I noticed is they stopped using pure europeans as much and started using white looking mestizas more.
>do people from different races have different cultures in your country/state?
Yes
>is there wealth disparity between races in your country/state?
Yes
>is there racism in your country/state?
Yes
>how is racemixing viewed in your country/state?
Only racists care
>Yes, this cunt feels like 4 countries in one. Depending on the region people talk differently, use different pronouns, customs, and so on
this is so interesting
i believe the north of southern america is the most diverse
>There's still taboo to mix with visibly black people, but light blacks are actually very successful with the opposite sex.
thats sad but i think i understand where this is coming from
>have their own reservations far from cities
I didnt know that! i thought reservations were just an USA thing
i didnt know florida was so latino, i thought it was mostly anglo saxon?
id say classism is a problem everywhere in the world
>How are the relations between black people and maghrebis?
I don't know much because there arent a lot of blacks where i live, but from what i gather maghrebis don't like them much. They can be racist too
They're not one group of people with an "immigrant identity" as some people might think
>And what about those two and europeans?
most maghrebi i have met were generally unkind, almost vengeful towards us. It's them and "french people"
Generally the longer their family were in france, the less they like it, which is pretty paradoxical lol
>our clothing combined with the racial disparity and location made it look similar to something you'd have seen in the 1800's.
this is kinda messed up
>Racism most commonly takes its form in admiring whiter people looks wise, and in denying native heritage if you have no explicit links.
yeah this is what i was thinking probably happens
i know you will
>do people from different races have different cultures in your country/state?
no, besides tiny secluded communities, those people are fucking weird.
everyone here is an Argentine, we have the same accent , eat the same food, listen to the same music, no matter what cultural group you're descended from.
jews obviously have their own thing going like anywhere else.
>is there wealth disparity between races in your country/state?
not really, except for the natives, the amerindians, they're all poor as fuck because they've never stopped getting fucked by the settlers and it's something thtat remains a problem to this day.
>is there racism in your country/state?
yes but nowhere even near to how it is in USA or immigrant overrun bits of Europe.
>how is racemixing viewed in your country/state?
nobody gives a fuck
amerindians are ugly as sin though so it looks weird when you see someone of european descent with an amerindian.
>do people from different races have different cultures in your country/state?
Mestizos have a culture closer to that of other Latin American countries (specially urban Peruvian culture). Middle and upper classes have a more European (and recently American) oriented culture.
>is there wealth disparity between races in your country/state?
Yes, generally:
Lower class is mestizo
Middle class is castizo (quarter Indian) or Criollo (Spanish-ethnicity born in the Americas for generations),
Upper classes are Spanish or other Europeans immigrants (English, Italian, French, German, etc)
As an example, we were dining in a "popular" sector of Santiago a few months ago and some beggar approached us. My mother noticed he had blue eyes and said something like "that beggar had light eyes, how unusual, I wonder why he's begging, must be a drug addict or a drunkard from a more affluent family".
>is there racism in your country/state?
It's all very tacitly but it does exist. I look more European and I've never been searched in the supermarket for example, but a coworker once was randomly selected by a guard to check his backpack once because he definitely looks more mestizo/lower-class (browner skin, non-European facial features, shorter, straight black hair, etc). Children usually in upper class/whiter families are specially cruel and usually tease those with brown eyes calling them "ojos de caca" (shit colored eyes).
>how is racemixing viewed in your country/state?
As long you're not mixing too down it's not very frowned upon. I guess younger people don't mind. If you have children with a whiter person (say a northern European) you're "improving the race", if you have children with a mestizo or a brown/black immigrant you'll get comments like "oh tus hijos van a ser morenitos" (oh you'll have brownie children)
>You guys are incredibly diverse racially
No, we are not. We're all mestizos in my country. Except foreigners, but we will kick those fuckers soon enough
>is there wealth disparity between races in your country/state?
Richer people tend to have more money, however 99% of chileans are mixed.
>is there racism in your country/state?
Only against haitians and congolombians, and they deserve it.
>how is racemixing viewed in your country/state?
With niggers = bad
With anyone else = nobody cares
>Richer people tend to have more money
lol, i meant to say have more european blood.
>do people from different races have different cultures in your country/state?
Just a few local tradicions. Music preferences. Very soft at least in Brazil.
>is there wealth disparity between races in your country/state?
Yes, too complex to explain here. São Paulo concentrates a lot of the manufacturing and wealth.
>is there racism in your country/state?
Yes, but not segregation tho. Our meme was always mutting. People will judge your wealth by you race, the darker the poorer.
>how is racemixing viewed in your country/state?
By blacks it is a way of social status, having a kid lighter than them, this is changing caused by american influence. I've seem black women being racist to interracial couples (this is rare). Among whites, especialy the more rich and old, can be bad viewed. This issue is reducing tho. Being against racemixing is seen as racist and anti-brazilian.
>i didnt know florida was so latino, i thought it was mostly anglo saxon?
Lmao
florida is 53% white. Southeast florida is around 30-50% hispanic with some areas being ~60-80% hispanic.
Miami is cuban with many south americans and other caribbeans. Orlando is puerto rican. In many other towns and cities, there are many mexicans and central americans
>no
yes
>it's closer to classism imho
there is no concept of "racemixing", i learned about it when i was 14 and found out about pol
do you live in a white area or something?
>If you have children with a whiter person (say a northern European) you're "improving the race", if you have children with a mestizo or a brown/black immigrant you'll get comments like "oh tus hijos van a ser morenitos" (oh you'll have brownie children)
this is stupid
>there is no concept of "racemixing", i learned about it when i was 14 and found out about pol
Now with the arrival of niggers people use the term tho
>>do you live in a white area or something?
I live in Las Condes, kind of the fancy part of Santiago.
>there is no concept of "racemixing", i learned about it when i was 14
thats crazy!
>this is stupid
I think that poster is a 30 y.o. boomer, only old people joke about the "mejorar la raza" meme, its just that, a meme.
As a middle upper class chilean ive never in my entire life heard someone say that to a couple.
cual es el concepto?
mezcla de raza?, no lo he escuchado
i guess
>this is kinda messed up
I felt bad about it when I realized, but at least they mostly have their own towns and communities which do pretty well economically. in that part of mexico
Why are you against white supremacy if you're allegedly white
why would i support white supremacy because i'm white?
what happens outside of my country is no business to me, but i think it's unfair to treat other races as inherently inferior
I'm not that poster, but ill go as far as to say that chileans used to not have a concept of "race". When chileans used the term "race" mostly they meant "nationality".
For us blanco used to mean light complexion and negro used to mean dark complexion. It didnt mean european race or black race.
As an example, i'm dark skinned so my family and friends used to call me negrito/negro. Meanwhile my brother is pale.
This has changed however thanks to globalization and recent waves of immigration.
I was dating qt mestiza a few years ago and during one dinner we were having with her family one of her aunts congratulated her for aiming to "mejorar la raza". It felt really awkward fuck boomers
que loco, no lo he visto yo
puede ser
I don't understand why you wouldn't support a system that puts you at the top. I certainly would
i believe in equality
Cringe and cuckpilled
very french of you
do you want to impregnate african women by any chance?
how is having values being a cuck?
i want to impregnate literally everyone
we don't want you in here if you're black, period.
how come mexico has so little black people?
were there no slaves in mexico?
Western values are cuckish so there’s your answer, white cuck
mmh
the indigenous people were used as slaves and there was no shortage of them, so there was no need to bring some from Africa
Mexico has over 1 million black people, still low proportionally speaking tho
>>do people from different races have different cultures in your country/state?
no, we are more or less the same.
the people living in cities have the same culture, the only difference lays between the people living in the country side near the bolivian border.
>>is there wealth disparity between races in your country/state?
most whealty people is white, but not by a big margin, you can see a lot of wealthy brown people, and a lot of poor white people (legit white blonde people).
>>is there racism in your country/state?
yes, but it's more about wealth than race. if you are dark brown but middle class/upper middle class nobody will bothers you.
if you are white and poor, some people may even call you "negro de mierda"(fucking nigger), even though you look polish, or something like that.
>>how is racemixing viewed in your country/state?
it's okay between white and brown people.
but many people would look down to racemix with sub Saharan Africans or Asians. mainly because we almost don't have those races here and the few people from those regions are not integrated into our societies.
also keep in mind that this is considered white in argentina.
>were there no slaves in mexico?
yes, native american slaves, that's why they needed black people there, and that's why they have no black population today.
don't mind him he's an idiot
>pls let me kiss your feet white master
they didn't need *
We are pretty much 93% mestizo/castizo (whatever we're all brown) here and 4% white. There's no cultural difference between that 97% but the other 3% are blacks from Colombia or Haiti so they do have a different culture.
I'd say xenophobia rather than racism
Racemixing is completely fine but consider xenophobia
>also keep in mind that this is considered white in argentina.
arent most argentinians castizos?
i dont know about your history but i think you used to be more mestizos historically but a recent wave of white people in early 20th sort of renewed the white gene pool? is that right?
oh
so if im correct, black people are mostly found in brazil and around the caribbeans, right?
have sex
>Racemixing is completely fine but consider xenophobia
what about mixing with non chilean latinos?
It's not like you won't be able to marry or anything but for example, my mom wouldn't like me marrying a Colombian or Venezuelan. Argentineans and Brazilians are fine tho, people like them here
Incel
>3% blacks from colombia or Haiti
Chile has 18 million people, so if you have 540.000 blacks from Colombia you'd have more blacks than the whole department of Chocó (the Blackest department in Colombia) has.
Really BIG IF TRUE
tell me about uruguayans
apparently theyre the whitest region in latin america
how different are they really from the rest? how do people see them?
How do you even tell apart a Brazilian from a Colombian or Venezuelan besides the language of course?
Once upon a time Mexico was a port for African slavery in Latin America correct me if I'm wrong presidente guerrero was 1/2 eggplant
and are southern white brazilians as obnoxious as they are online?
yes, you can find them where they needed a lot of labor force, and there were not enough native americans.
in mexico, central america, and all along the Andes, there were native american empires (incas, mayas), so there were millions of people livings in those areas.
on the other hand, only some "barbaric" tribes inhabited the amazon and other jungles. they weren't much people, and when the conquistadores started to grow sugar cane, coffee, rubber , etc. they needed to import slaves from Africa to work the land.
The whitest Latinos are the Cubans, not the Uruguayans
>racially diverse
let's see
we have dark brown people
slightly dark brown people
brown people
slightly light brown people
and light brown people
That's every Latino country more or less, some have blacks, others don't, some have a few white people and some don't.
WOW HOW DIVERSE!
I met two krauts from Brazil they were the most genuine brazilians
we didn't have Incas nor mayas here, and we are in the Andes. We had the muiscas but they were very few and apart compared to the empires you mentioned
