East Germany was the most underdeveloped part of Germany, which is why the Ostflucht happened, this is also why it fell under NSDAP influence earlier than the richer parts of Germany.

I spoke poorly which is my bad, but Prussian regions were SDP heartland, my point wasn't that there was no grounds or roots which would eventually become Nazi support, nor that there was no racism in Germany at the time, but rather that poorer regions (like eastern Germany) and poorer people are easier to radicalize to extreme ideologies when the going is tough.
