This. A ton of words and expressions we use are really dated. Also in Québec we’ll translate things in French instead of just ‘’frenchifying’’ like they do in France. For example there’s a show here called ‘’La Voix’’ but in France they call it ‘’Za Voice.’’ There’s other examples like I think the word for ‘’shoes’’ in France they’ll say ‘’chaussure’’ but here most people here say ‘’soulier’’ but honestly written French is nearly identical. Depends where you’ll go people think Québécois uses a bunch of English words but it’s really frowned upon. I don’t really hear people do that very often desu

Yeah Montreal is overrated I don’t think it’s awful but I’ve only been to there and Vancouver which is ok. Nice nature but too many Chinese. I think Québec city is a lot more interesting. A few of my friends if France say the cities here are better but I’ve only been to Normandie for an exchange program. Was really nice.
