What is the heartland of your country? As in the deepest, least globalized and most culturally rich part of your country, where traditions are still strong and people is very nationalistic?
Argentina: Pic

isn't that place like least "argentine" place of argentina? lol
Santiago del Estero is the heartland of this country. There is nothing more Argentine than a santiagueño
You got wrong boy.
It's CABA, Buenos Aires Entre Ríos and Santa Fé
eso es mi heartland
Minas Geraes
I'm a proud mineiro chad
If you think porteños are Argentinian then yes.
Porteños are a bunch of faggot Europeans who never assimilated. The real argentinos are the criollos who live in the north and west
Based
That'd be like saying the most traditionally American state is New York
>If you think porteños are Argentinian then yes.
i think that's what everyone pictures when they think classic argentinians, yes
It is along with PS , New Jersey and New England.
>deepest, least globalized
That'd be the amazon. It's empty basically Not sure about the nationalistic part tho
What everyone pictures as classic Argentinians outside Argentina is not what real Argentinians are like
more like california. NY is pretty american i think
kosovo
But it's far from being the most traditional state. That'd be something in the South or Appalacchia
most of that map seems more bolivian and paraguayan than anything. real argentina (to me) is Buenos Aires Province, La Pampa, Mendoza, Cordoba, Santa Fe, Santiago and Corrientes. that's where the core criollo culture comes from. up north it gets really incan and the south is pretty european.
>t. pampeano
Criollos from the Pampas got assimilated into pseudo-European culture. The only provinces that retain criollo culture are those in the map
>La Pampa
La Pampa wasn't a part of Argentina until the late 19th century, how can it be traditional?
The first provinces to be colonized are the ones that can be called traditional.
That's basically the Northwest, Cuyo, Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Córdoba and Corrientes.
The rest were incorporated into the country much later and are virtually insignificant
- Yellow is where mariachis, tequila, charros, sombreros come from.
- Blue is where the Aztecs lived, also the capital.
- Red is the most backwards and least globalized area.
>- Yellow is where mariachis, tequila, charros, sombreros come from.
Nuke it
Why did Argentinians name a province like a fucking electronic device? Even Uruguayans did the same with their capital.
what about the north? is it a big ass empty desert up until the US border like they show in the movies?
>Santiago del Estéreo
kek. although, now to think of it, why the fuck is montevideo called that?
anywhere but santiago and antofalombia
Most of the criollo culture comes from the Northwest and Mesopotamia.
Just look at how many quechua loanwords we use:
Chacra
Chaco(originally meant 'Hunting ground')
Pampa (means plain)
Gaucho
Choclo
Guacho
Mate ('recipiente')
Poroto
Zapallo
Tambo
Carpa
Pucho
Cancha
Ojota
Charqui
Morocho
Poncho
And most of our traditional dishes have Andean roots too.
Argentine culture has much deeper roots in Andean culture than what we want to admit. We want to set ourselves apart from Bolivia, Chile and Perú but we really aren't that different from them. It shouldn't be a surprise since we were part of Perú for centuries and our biggest and more important population centers were for most of our history close to the Andes, with the obvious exception of Buenos Aires
Why do Argentinians have a region called Mesopotamia? Sounds so cringy
Because Mesopotamia means 'between rivers' and that is exactly what that region is
Western Texas maybe. Still very "yee haw fuck you I do what I want".
Arkansas maybe, it's all just endless corn fields and religion.
Basically any of the middle of america. The more middle you get the older it's values and general feel is. Bunch of traditional, religious farm people really.
this is the TRUE heartland, prove me wrong
that word always sounded dirty to me. it reminded me of a street in Buenos Aires called mesopotamia near the river which stank to high hell.
This is the heartland
Why not La Rioja and Catamarca? Those are the two provinces that received the least immigration, so they are the most Argentine ones
la rioja is part of cuyo too, idk why it isn't red on the map
Not anymore. La Rioja was traditionally seen as part of the Northwest, but Menem made it part of Cuyo. Now it's part of the NOA again
catamarcactual.com.ar
Minas Gerais, rural Sao Paulo, and Bahia
I was in Chiapas and Oaxaca, both were dirty af.
Lol
North "Argentina" is cancer and the least argentinian place in the country
>t. porteño faggot
The provinces with most immigrants in Argentina are Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires City and the Patagonia. So those are the least Argentinian
Argentina was built by europeans
his descendants are the real argentinian
not a brown person with a paraguayan look
Buenos Aires is the province with most Paraguayans in the country
Argentina was built by the criollos, descendants of the Spaniards who colonized this land. Their descendants are the real Argentinians, not some pseudo-European faggot larper
there's a difference between Culture and Civilazation. Argentina's civilization is european. it's culture is andean and spanish. any nigger in the jungle can paint his face, bang on a hollow tree with a stick and have a culture, but not anyone can build a civilization.
I'm not porteño you retard
Test
You are from one of these places: Buenos Aires, or Buenos Aires province, Santa Fe, Córdoba or some irrelevant province down south
Everything Dark Gold in the left with the exception of Santiago and Valparaiso which received a lot of influence from the USA and Europe.
>Argentina's civilization is european
So is the civilization of almost all countries in the world. We just copied the Europeans
Why the USA?
>immune province
>immune posts
>mfw
West Virginia and Maine
West Virginia is the whitest state in the south and represents the cultural hegemony of the south the most while Maine is to the north what West Virginia is to the south
All west coast states are liberal trash or irrelevant like Alaska and Hawaii
>west virginia
>south
Some people claim it as southern
Also the rural north is more whiter than the rural south
Also there are basically more hicks in the north and the midwest than in the south these days
Least globalised part of my country : North Eastern States
Most nationalist state : Punjab
Most culturally rich state where traditions are still going strong : Southern states
it's probably like kentucky or something
but it's the most christian area
Well if your argument is, amount of Christians = level of globalization, then yes it is globalised.
The capital city itself and the surrounding provinces.
Other islands contribute little to the country
