Because the amount energy needed to allocate resources, these being labour, capital and land according to the demand of a central plan would be bigger than the amount that is needed by allowing people to allocate them themselves. It doesn't matter if we solve the calculation problem, the energy needed to do so is bigger than the one we can supply to such system.

The problem with communism is not the administrative part of it but a thermal one, think of diseconomies of scales but at a global level.
