Is Anki actually effective or does it just give the illusion of being effective? Assuming I want to communicate in Japanese and not just read.
Anki cards that are just single words out of context don't seem to be highly recommended after a certain point so I've been wondering if I should use it to hammer down a few hundred Kanji meanings I've neglected thus far.
It's similar to mathematical induction or incrementing variables in C. If you've got more questions, look up Krashen's 5 hypotheses on language acquisition or watch Matt vs Japan/LingoSteve's videos.
Today I found this clip and it’s really hard to listen to.. I think I can’t survive in southern states of US m.youtube.com/watch?v=8dDpwZegm60 What’s your hardest video clip of Japanese movies/anime?
Honestly I think that might be the most difficult speech of the whole movie, usually it's not focused on the confederate soldiers but more the generals who tend to talk a bit more clearer than the soldiers.

Is there a frequency deck for Anki that isn't based off of boring shitty newspapers. There's vncore, but some people complain about it.. why?

Thanks I got relieved desu. So, is it supposed to be like that scene of that anime saying “feel free to use the abandoned field backdoor”?
>“feel free to use the abandoned field backdoor”? Not sure the reference so I'm not sure but I would recommend the movie if you are interested in military history. For me hard clips of Japanese is anytime old people in the countryside speak.

It’s a meme in this thread where a guy talks to a girl in strong dialect. I’m gonna check that movie of Civil war, but as my DVD player has broken down I have to find another means to watch it. I hope I can get in on google play.. せっかく降ったのに溶けてしまった。 二日酔いで寝ていたせいだ。 やっぱりワインはだめだ。
pls elaborate i want to know but i feel like i would spent more than 30 minutes

>え >はだげ >ばい >なんぼが There are not impossible to speculate. >おがって >まってらはん >とろけねば >ばいびょん no clue what it means even for native speakers not knowing the dialect
>「もしかして僕がこの本を好きな理由?」 >「あ、いや……あの……」 >なんか直接的すぎたかも……まるで私馬鹿な子だ……。 >片思いの小説が好きだからって……それじゃそのまんまだよ……馬鹿すぎ……。 is this まるで the "completely" meaning or the "looks like, almost like" meaning? and what does 「だからって……それじゃそのまんま」 mean here? "he likes 片思いの小説 just because he likes them (he likes them for no particular reason"?
>まるで >"looks like, almost like" "as if I am an idiot girl" >>片思いの小説が好きだからって……それじゃそのまんまだよ……馬鹿すぎ……。 Even though he/she(the speaker herself) likes that sort of love story, this is much too straightforward. What a idiot I am..
