country music is the best thing america has contributed to the world

Oh come on, you don't mean it. What do you like about America? I like American optimism and the love of freedom. Not even being ironic, I think that Americans have a quality that is only comparable to French love of sticking it up to the 'man'.

we invented Blue Öyster Cult

Trying to accelerate my assholes drying process by manually spreading my cheeks, but it’s not working

Based. One of the greatest songs in the universe:youtube.com/watch?v=k3nTaL31OkU

There are tons of things I love but to enumerate them would be like jacking off and I don’t believe in jacking off. I think America is better than every European country save maybe Switzerland because Swiss people get to vote on everything.

>I think America is better than every European country
That is true but I'd say the exception is France. You both have a healthy distaste for government and are ready to rebel at the moments notice. I respect that. Also nothing wrong with jacking off, coomers of the world unite and all that.

YOU MEAN: «UNITEDSTATES», NOT: «AMERICA» —QVOD VIDE IMAGE ATTACHED TO THIS POST.

Oh sorry I like all American countries. Didn't mean any disrespect! This thread is about United states of America.

I like that even if putin monki janny bans me, my bank accounts still have 100x more money than his

>my bank accounts still have 100x more money than his
But he does it for free!

Cringe

IT IS NOT A PROBLEM OF «RESPECT», BUT, RATHER, ONE OF ACCURATE REFERENCE.

This was a very swell song! I like Peter Seeger's more socialistic songs, like youtube.com/watch?v=pCnEAH5wCzo

I like our civil war music.

Oh oh I like them too!. Like this one youtube.com/watch?v=bSSn3NddwFQ My friend was when I played it to him that this is the Manchester United song GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED youtube.com/watch?v=RUCn4w-S2KM and I was like come on this is an American song and much older than that :DDD He didn't belive me :(

Wow, I've actually never heard that one (john browns body).
And the Manchester united version seems to work, lol.

This is the version we were taught sang in school as kids in the 90s.

youtu.be/Jy6AOGRsR80

Old ww1 songs can be interesting, too.

youtu.be/921z4LAHvak

>i've never heard john brown's body
what?
are you some kind of chi or chang?

Was John Brown's body first or the Battle Hymn of the Republic? Anyway I think that there is something very awesome how Americans (or I guess yanks) were willing to put their lives on the line to end the great evil of slavery. Beautiful. Only song that I think can compare is Le Marseillaise with the ethos and the feeling behind the song. But I have to say that even if they were evil slavers, Confederates had some good songs too, like this youtube.com/watch?v=6dDbnwQlCek

John Brown's Body was first

Fucking contrarian

>You both have a healthy distaste for government and are ready to rebel at the moments notice.
Plenty of bootlickers over here, user. But I appreciate the sentiment.

Yeah but at least you lot have less bootlickers than for example us. Our rebels got rekt'd in 1918 so much that no one even dares about rebelling against government anymore over here.

Attached: civilwar.jpg (1199x740, 103.86K)

Why? Because I like America? Why is that a contrarian position?

Not that user, but I'm a New England old stock WASP and haven't heard the song either. I know the melody from Battle Hymn of the Republic, but I haven't heard it with those lyrics until tonight.

On Yas Forums, sure. I was pleasantly surprised to hear a scandi talking about us in a positive light for once.

Attached: maine const.png (1980x848, 1.58M)

they're pretty fucking based, unironically

even the "bad" things like mall-sharting, tranny shit and BLACKED are all funny.

>a scandi
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Finns aren't scandi :^(

*Nordic. My bad user, I'm overtired and like 5 beers deep right now. Have a spurdo as an apology.

Ukies are good lads too, as far as I can tell.

If you came here you'd be depressed at how little balls we have. I get where you're coming from but we are nothing like the French. Our protests and strikes are child's play compared to them, we're too cucked by capitalism.

I like plenty of movies and music that come from there. I used to do a fair bit of online gaming with friends from America, too; which was nice.
I also appreciate the huge contribution that their engineering and manufacturing industries have made to the world. Even when other countries match or surpass the level of sophistication, the only other country that can match the scale is China and frankly they're shit cunts.

Well, OWS was getting somewhere a decade ago, until the powers that be diverted the focus from economic troubles to diversity shit as a distraction.

What should we do going forward, user?

>good things about America
Their upcoming demise

Honestly, I'm not sure, since most of us seem to have fallen for the bait hook line and sinker. I'm from New York and I know some people who were protesting on Wall Street in 2011 who have somehow gone full on consoomer by 2020; if you don't know what I mean, think the people that Yas Forums rips apart for doing shit like pic related. Best I can hope for is that whatever economic crash corona sparks will kick off something like OWS for the zoomer generation, but I kinda have doubts about that.

Attached: porg.jpg (1200x1035, 260.14K)

Revolutions can be dangerous, my great grandpa was executed because he wanted socialism in Finland and took up arms :^(. But vote for Bernie and protest, strike and all that! I'm of the opinion that Americans will lead the way in the future, euros (sans French) are too pussies. youtube.com/watch?v=SKWfnO7fhQM

OWS was an embarrassing waste of time

Sure

It's been a long time since I've seen this Sovietboo Finn on Yas Forums.

On that note please pick up a loaded 12-gauge, put it in your mouth, and pull on the trigger.

>Sovietboo Finn
What? I hate Soviet Union. Stalin betrayed the revolution and attacked Finland and both of my grandads (one of them was a commie like me) fought for 5 years against Russians and b*lsheviks.

>What do you like like about America
New England. That is all.

>Guns
Look up the Obama cattle fiasco. Fed fuckers said you can't graze here. The boys showed up armed to the teeth and the feds backed down.
>Beer
We have an amazing underground microbrewery culture that's going to take over the main beer pisswater. Every side of US has their beer. Yuengling where my boys at?
>Rugged individualism
Cowboy western history that still lives and breathes. Deep south, midwest, and west coast got bull riders that will knock your tits off. Pull your boots up and make a living you lazy fuck.
>Unashamed nationalism
each state (aside from california) is proud and waves their flag cus muh dick #1. We show that red white and blue when we're abroad, which is rare cus our country already has everything good.
>Christian
Every news outlet is ashamed of our rate of church goers, but I say its a fuckin strength. It's the glue that holds society together. It's sad that it's falling.

ya see classism won't work here. every poorfag here is a millionaire who is temporarily poor. the american dream is still a real one. work hard, save, invest right and you can make it. I have seen first hand overseas how the rich talk down to the poor etc. but here everyone is an individual and is treated based on their behavior. seems to be rotting away but it's still a thing.
based as fuck i wish i could get my fave beer in west coast commie shithole land. 805 is alright though.

>people are still seeing ads in 2020

nice trips, btw

>the american dream is still a real one
Yeah because you need to be asleep to believe it's real.

Posting cozy Americana
youtube.com/watch?v=malJUMz2A9Y

yeah statistically speaking. okay what do you need to do to make it?
>pay off debt
>save for uh-ohs
>invest like a mug
Sort of common sense. What statistically do most people lack?

>i wish i could get my fave beer in west coast commie shithole land.
I actually feel the same way. Went on a trip through the midwest once to visit a friend who went to college in Wisconsin, and while I was there I basically thrived off Spotted Cow beer. They only sell it in that state, and I've been missing it ever since.

Still, Yuengling's pretty fucking good, def the best cheap beer on the market. Loved it ever since high school.

>ya see classism won't work here
But there's a rich history of American working class fighting for their rights, like en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Blair_Mountain I read somewhere that the term redneck comes from working class people wearing red scarves altho it could also come from outdoors working people just having sunburnt necks. Dunno.
This is a chill song!

Becoming a millionaire is easy in America.

> become cop for midsize town in white state
> make 65-80k a year
> just save money

Most people are retarded and go into debt even while making over 100k

I like
- how unapologetic they are about most things, while this often veers into ignorance, I can also appreciate the sense of pride one might derive out of it and that I believe is important in a strong country
- how YUGE everything is, roads, cars, malls, meal sizes
- the rich variety of landscapes, there's deserts, mountains, forests, great lakes, and many more I'm forgetting, it's like having so many countries in one, amazing
- white Americana depicted in Life is Strange

>white Americana depicted in Life is Strange
Hella cool

Hello fellow american folk music appreciator!

Anyway, let me go down list of wonderful things socialism brings to one's country:

>need permission to travel anywhere
>spend all day waiting for first shipment of potato to store in three weeks
>tin of mandarin oranges or other tropical fruit maybe for Christmas
>buy bicycle
>wait three months to get it
>buy car with plywood body panel and mechanical brakes
>take six months
>if family member of yours arrested by state security, you become blacklisted and cannot go to university or obtain good job
>be forced to read bullshit books in school about scientific communism and the victory of the working class and whatnot
>listen to West German radio
>your neighbor rats you to state security
>get arrested and beaten up or burned with cigarette butts until you confess
>all art is nothing but propaganda crap showing smiling leader and muscled guy driving tractor and working in factory
>doctor gets paid same wage as coal miner
>nothing to look forward to but preparing for war with NATO

I like Americana. Shame so much of American media focuses on cities.

No. I hate USA
