Stay strong Ameribros
probably going to blow my brains out
it's like getting a bad cut on your hand and watching your whole arm go gangrene. every moment the gov pussyfoots around this the more it will end up costing in lives and resources later. tldr we're pretty fucked
this is why we need a multiparty system. If we had multiple parties, we could have some leaning into more sensible politics. Not the retarded bipolar system that we currently have.
>24.07/hr
That's assuming the amount is for a week, which it isn't.
It's for the "15 days of social distancing", so it really ends up being more like ~$12/hr
The discovery of America was a huge mistake.

S
what's the S for now?
Good riddance. The world will be a better place without you.
no my dude, out of fifty thousand. Virus is still spreading.
many countries are probably spending ungodly amounts as well.
The only reason we get so much attention is because we bundle it all into one bill. We also have a privatized healthcare system, and private airlines.
Chinese airlines are state owned, so all their loses are just taken by the government, and there isn't a need for a bailout. There was also other capital injections to their markets, but not to this size.
Europe has different forms of universal healthcare that allows them to better coordinate the effort against the pandemic, and there is not need for a big bill to aid the entire EU healthcare system.
I honestly don't think we are doing that bad, controlling the pandemic that is. The economy was artificially inflated due to the tax cuts in '17, so they ended up crashing down and a correction was due. oil price war/recession/pandemic all hit us at once. It's a surprise we haven't entirely collapsed desu.
I filed my taxes for 2018, and I ended up owing the Feds more money. Who's the one laughing now? KEK
whats the average age of them?
>"Biggest death toll in modern day US was September 11th. 2,996 dead!"
>Coronachan: "Hmmm..."
Only reason you get this attention is your rise in numbers. You seen China, you seen Europe and you decided to disregard all safety right away.
And you having terrible public health care is also very amusing to see how you people are going to justify it.
"Hope."
>Only reason you get this attention is your rise in numbers
Yes, and no. A big reason why we get so much fucking attention is because America media is global media. Also, the US by defaults gets a lot of attention.
> You seen China, you seen Europe and you decided to disregard all safety right away.
Explain this to me, because the one who closed borders initially was the US. The US closed access to China before the Europeans, and the same for Europeans very quickly.
Our outbreak is much younger, around 2 weeks I would say. Our response, has not being great, but it's far better than anything you guys were doing late february/ early march. Also, I doubt we are going to get as bad as Italy or Spain. Maybe in outright numbers, but not percentages. We have like ~6x italy's population so it wouldn't be that surprising.
>Our outbreak is much younger, around 2 weeks I would say.
It's been a while, you have gotten 1 and 2 patients in different state all around the country back when we were closing borders. You failed to contain it, that isn't the problem. I game this virus 100% spread change when China had 40k cases. Problem is your response to it, your govnt doing nothing to inform the people, what it is and how it spreads.
>Maybe in outright numbers, but not percentages. We have like ~6x italy's population so it wouldn't be that surprising.
Statistically speaking, you are about 2 weeks away from 100% virus coverage and so far you are doing exactly as good as statistics are, if we take into account that every person infects 1.5 new people.
>Literally every other country on the planet
>"Oh no, a deadly pandemic! We must take measures!"
>America
>"Yeah but... the economy. Sure, 2% of the total population could die, but 2 is a tiny number! It's only one more than 1!"
>>Literally every other country on the planet
Brazil would like to have a word with you
Yas Forums says per capita doesn't matter.
Oh yeah, I forgot about Bolsonaro. The guy who literally styles himself as "the Trump of the south". He's doing a good job being a copycat then.
Yeah, but those have been "isolated" cases from people coming from abroad. You can trace those back all the way to january. The real outbreak, as in people falling sick that had not come or gone abroad recently, was in late february/early march in Washington state. Shortly after, borders were closed to europe. a week or so after, the "15 days" were announced. Testing started picking up pace, and here we are. When america was starting to test, which was about last week, Italy was already getting like 500 dead/day. Obviously our "outbreak" is not at the point that Italy or Spain are getting. If you see the exponential growth of cases for most countries, the US curve is younger by a couple of weeks.
Meanwhile the South Koreans had that Church incident with the hundreds of sick people, back in late february. So they are also a little ahead of us.
